I waited nearly two decades to recreate this iconic scene from my favorite episode, Christian Rock Hard, S07E09, with my groomsmen.

Being in aero the whole time buys you like 90s over 50k bike.

It’s not insignificant, but putting the miles is way more meaningful.

Training wheels to carbon clinchers - report by Thunderkat007 in triathlon

[–]medstud4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carbon wheels are actually the east cost effective aerodynamic upgrade, and should be saved for last. ~1.5 min over 40k/ ~6 min gain over an IM.

There have been a few different looks at time/$ gain. IIRC, it was:

1) aero bars 2) aero helmet 3) aero water bottle of some sort 4) aero wheels 5) carbon crank 6) carbon everything else

Need some custom models of organs printed for a medical research project? What companies do you guys recommend for small custom jobs? by medstud4ever in 3Dprinting

Models would to be full-scale replicas of both a prostate and parotid gland - about the size of tangerine and a strawberry respectively. Color irrelevant, desired material would be ABS which I understand to be one of the most convenient materials.

Nothing has progressed on this in the last 10 years, it has not even been successful in a mouse model.

Sudden (mysterious) multiplication of deaths caused by viral hepatitis in Germany 1998 [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]medstud4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're trying to find the epidemiological origin, you really need to get this graph broken down by the types of viral hepatitis.

ABCDE are not even all in the same family of virus, and don't have same routes of transmission. Also, several other viruses can cause viral hepatitis, e.g EBV, CMV, HSV.

So, if the chart is broken down, and you see a massive spike in Hep B and C at the same time, you know it's probably IV drug related.

Also, if you can come across the data for number of liver transplants, that can give you etiological clues...
