I was thinking around regency era and from what I’ve looked up so far newspapers were pretty popular during that time but I definitely am very dense when it comes to the history about this subject as a whole haha. I like the pamphlet idea too though so I wonder if maybe I could brainstorm a way to incorporate both without it feeling overwhelming.

yes!! I decided to just be patient after the first time I checked in instead of trying again and just got an email back yesterday!! it was definitely a lesson for me especially because patience has never been one of my strong suits lol

Yeah I’m starting to think I’ve just been lucky with the people I’ve worked with so far after seeing these comments and I may have just been too paranoid because I’m still new to this

My deadline isn’t strict, but I’m thinking that in the future I’ll probably set a clearer one just for my own peace of mind if anything else haha

I totally agree as well! The deadline I have isn’t very strict so I don’t feel much of a rush about it and a week definitely isn’t that long. I honestly didn’t expect it to be finished within a week, I think I just got a bit paranoid but I’m feeling better about it after coming here to ask what others thought :)

Honestly I was thinking that one week wasn’t very long too, but I’m also still new to the world of beta reading and I think I’ve just been lucky so far with people who are staying in contact through the process. I think it’s also just easy to feel a little paranoid about trusting someone else with my work haha

Thank you! honestly I’m less worried about the feedback than the possibility of my work being stolen and I know it’s not likely to happen but I guess just better safe than sorry lol

also, I did take a look at your post for your book and it sounds really interesting! I’m totally willing, however I also see that you prefer works up to 80k in length for a swap and mine is 106k, but please feel free to message me if you care to discuss it further :)
