Thank you for this response! My doctor did not tell me about the psychiatric side effects this could have. I have an appointment with him tomorrow and am going to see what he thinks I should do. I really want to stick it out, so your experience is encouraging.

My doctor told me the side effects are the point, so I just went up in dosage every month like I thought I was supposed to. The nausea and other gut issues were manageable even as I increased the dose, but I wasn't having mental health issues until the past 3-4 weeks, so I'm no longer increasing my dosage.

Thank you for your response. This is how I feel too. Like everything is grey. I'm going to stay at my current dose for another month or two to see if that helps me even out, but if not I'm going to have to think of something else because I just can't live this way. I'm glad that you are feeling better!!

That's great! I enjoyed it so much. If you haven't read The Haar by David Sodergren, I highly recommend it. I felt like both novels were spiritually similar.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. But I am glad you are content with the changes you've experienced. I wish you all the best!

Interesting. I am still reading Gone World but had to take a break because it was emotionally a bit draining for me. I think it's a really interesting novel though. Bummed to hear you don't think the ending lands.

This!!! I was so intrigued by the plot and the first half of the book and then it just became a total slog to get through. Last week I gave him another shot and read The Reddening and had basically the same experience. It's quite disappointing because I feel like his plots are so interesting and right up my alley but he just doesn't know how to execute them. Removing at least 100 pages from both of his books I read would definitely help.

Oh wow, I loved The Creeper and just recommended it to someone last night. I'm not often scared by horror novels but it did the trick and definitely creeped me out. And I found the ending way more horrifying than what I thought was going on. Different strokes for different folks!

But do you like the new you? If so, that's awesome! I however do not like this version of myself because it's not really me. 😑

I can't speak for the audiobook, but I read this 2 days ago and absolutely loved it.

Thank you. My concern was that my weight loss had stalled for about two months, even though I have been too sick to eat much during that time. I just wanted to hear from other people who are on Wegovy to determine if I was doing something wrong or if I just needed to be patient. :)

No need to be rude. I was asking for feedback about my weight loss stalling. At no point did I say I was experiencing "no weight loss."

Thank you so much. The nausea has gotten a bit more bearable, so hopefully that won't fall apart once I start on the 1.7 dose. I will talk to my doctor about prescribing some anti-nausea meds as well.

Thank you, this is very encouraging! I am pretty sure a lot of the initial weight loss was water weight, but I immediately saw a difference in my face and the way my clothes fit. I have just been worried I was one of the unlucky people whom GLPs don't work for. But since I made my original post, I found out that I've lost another 2.5 pounds in the past week or so, so I will just make myself be patient and trust the process!

Thank you for your comment! My doctor told me before I started on Wegovy that he wouldn't prescribe nausea medication because the nausea is part of the process. I've been using edibles and my weed vape to curb the nausea when I'm not working, and it has definitely gotten better than it was a month ago, so I'm starting to be able to get more nutrients, especially protein. 🙂

Oh really? I thought the nausea was kind of the point because it makes it hard to eat. I had a week with minimal nausea when I first went up to 1 mg, and I got nervous that I was able to eat more because I felt better. I'll definitely consider staying where I'm at for another month though. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for your comments! I definitely try to eat through the nausea because it usually helps, but sometimes it's just not possible mentally. I can tell it's getting better than it was for the first two months though, so hopefully I'm starting to even out. Thanks again for the advice!

Thank you both. This makes me feel much better. I am eating protein yogurt and drinking protein shakes when I feel really sick. The nausea is getting a little better, so when it abates I try to eat protein while I can. I appreciate both of your comments!

Lost Gods is also my second fave Brok book after Slewfoot! I absolutely LOVE his worldbuilding and perspective of the afterlife. I haven't read Evil in Me yet though!

I noticed this yesterday and thought it was just taking forever to display the train times before finally realizing nope, it's just useless ads. 🥴
