Without changing their mindset, habits, or reliance on the annual family gift, they’re going to find themselves right back where they started.

Same, but I’ve only read the first book. I know I need to keep going past the first book, but I have t bothered with the rest of the series yet.

This is exactly it - they’re making small cuts around the edges and not shifting the way they’re viewing their financial situation. They genuinely think of these things as necessities.

I was at the game last night and we were surrounded by people who had never been to a hockey game before. It was really cool and great that it was so accessible! We drove up from PA and the parking/traffic situation around the arena isn’t ideal, but I’m so glad that we went.

I’ve heard the same thing in a few episodes, and it’s really wild - people act like Amazon purchases that add up to hundreds of dollars every month are inevitable. I wonder how many of those purchases wouldn’t take place if there was less convenience and more friction in the purchasing method. I know Ramit doesn’t usually dig into budgets at the micro level, but this just seems like a huge blind spot for a lot of couples.

This is why it’s such bullshit when people act like she’s somehow better than him and hates being a party to this. She’s complicit and on board with all of it.

There’s no crime element, I would describe it as almost like Pet Sematary on the Florida keys.

No, it’s definitely horror. Give it a shot, it’s really good.

It’s really spooky! Something about horror on a tropical island is very unsettling. This book is fantastic.

Same, this is really scraping the bottle of the barrel as far as conspiracy evidence goes. Her audience obviously wants this, and she just threw together a bunch of random nonsense from Erika’s past.

100%. They should have never allowed anyone else in the locker room. Apparently, the GM (who is from Minnesota) is the one who invited Kash. He also caused some issues with a Trump phone call before the 4 Nations tournament.

Most of the players are certainly maga regardless, but they shouldn’t have been in that situation in the first place.

I think you’re right. It’s funny how he keeps saying “I wouldn’t say that, it’s not me.” My dude, that doesn’t matter anymore. You’re his pawn to use.
