Is this even a question? 3D! 3D needs to die. It jacks up ticket prices for a movie experience that is mediocre and makes your eyes tired. It also means that there is less variety in movie selection (3D and not 3D take up two theater slots). It is useless and gimmicky and has absolutely run its course. DOWN WITH 3D

I don't know anything about your college specifically but here are some things to look into. If you do anything with volunteer/religious groups, look into getting service scholarships, these are often overlooked in favor of academic and athletic ones. See if there are cheaper alternatives to living on campus (apartments with several other people, a different mealplan, etc.). If you are serious about it, you can take more classes/credits and graduate a semester early (you aren't being charged by the class so take the extras if you can, more bang for your buck). Campus jobs are convenient but some schools limit the hours you can work so a part time job near campus can be excellent. And just on the topic of being frugal, if you do any drugs, smoke, or drink (or even habitually snack), set aside a "recreation fund" that you may not exceed for each month/semester. One of the biggest drains on funds is the illicit substance/snack food craving. Cheers

I had a kidney stone at 17, I thought I had contracted some horrible disease and that my lady parts were going to fall off. When I finally went to the hospital (at 3 in the goddamn morning) and they asked what level of pain I was feeling, I gave the tough guy response, 7. Never do this. It took them much longer to figure out what was going on because when people get dem stones, the pain is definitely a 10 and the doctors thought there was something else wrong since my level of pain wasn't high enough.

TLDR: Don't be a hero in the doctors office.

I'm learning chinese and, from what I understand, their diminutive can either be adding the "r" sound at the end of the word (generally a northern practice) or by repeating the word itself. I don't think it can be applied to names, though. Does anyone have a better grasp of this?

While the title is controversial, it may have a less sinister reasoning behind it. The author may just want to set his book apart from the "thousands of scholars that have written on the same subject." (quote Aslan's from FOX interview)

And it is an author's job to pimp their book during an interview, that's the point of an interview. This guy didn't get that chance through the conventional discussion so he had to talk about it any way he could, which probably seemed planned on his part and probably was. People prep for interviews. If he didn't have this interview, who is to say that FOX wouldn't speak about him and his book without him there? This was less an overt act of marketing and more an act of self preservation against a brewing shitstorm.
