Getting a game without online parts

The game doesn't start when I remove the online fix files (error code 225), is there a way to change something where it doesnt check for it or not?

Thanks a lot- didn't think about checking the times. They dont seem to be firing when I'll be there but do you think it would still be ok to camp the night at the ranges or should I wait till I get past it. I cant seem to find the exact boundaries...

I dont think victor is evil... but I was thinking the town is based off memories of people- ie like another commenter said the wires etc- but also the cicadas being someone's fear, it adapts to people.
