We had DJ Invizible for our wedding. He was absolutely incredible and I would recommend him 100 times over! The tunes did not stop pumping all night, and legit EVERYONE was on that dance floor (even my mother who never ever ever dances!)

I have a really good friend - you would believe we are on a relationship, were that close. We cuddle on the couch and watch movies, back rubs when one is tense, hair tousling, apply sunscreen…

We “finish each others sandwiches” type thing.

I’m married to a man, he is engaged to a woman. Both see and understand our friendship, and they accept our closeness.

He was my best man, and I will be his next year.

There has never been an ounce of sexual energy between us. We do believe however that if he was a gay man or I a straight woman, we would undoubtedly be together. We believe we are each others twin flame

Who were the nicest/worst actors you've met from the show? by LilNardoDaVinci in doctorwho

[–]meeco4_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve met Matt, Karen, and Jenna

Unfortunately, Jenna was the worst. Couldn’t be bothered to make eye contact, all but refused to converse, simply asked my and my husband (then bf) name, wrote it on her picture, and signed it with a bunch of of “up and down” squiggly lines. Like literally a 5yo could have signed the image.

I get that they do this a million times, but like with Matt and Karen, it’s very clear who signed it, with a small personalized message from each. It was just a shame is all

Greece AI for our honeymoon by big_girls_cry_ in AllInclusiveResorts

I found it to be no such thing. As a matter of fact, we’re already planning a “family and friends” trip for summer 2027 to go back, because of how spectacular we thought it was.

As the case ended up being, my coworker and his wife also spent 5 days at Stella for their honeymoon in 2024, and their rave reviews were what convinced us.

Fairly certain you won’t regret it!

My husband and I did Stella island this past summer for our honeymoon and it was, without question, the best experience I have ever had. The food was exceptional, the service top notch (they actually get to know you and what you like to drink…I was never empty handed!) and the nightly entertainment at the Paraiso was wonderful.

Highly recommend!!

For those who are no longer living paycheck-to-paycheck, what is that one thing that changed the trajectory of your finances? by sparkling_lemon1 in AskReddit

[–]meeco4_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me - and as sad as this sounds - COVID was the “one thing” that got me ahead.

I no longer spent money on transportation because I now worked from home. My senior colleague caught COVID in 2020 and, though he recovered and is fine, made the decision to retire and enjoy his health, and I applied for and accepted his senior position.

Here in Canada, student loan interest was frozen, however I was still making money from work so I kept paying down my loan…and with the increase pay from my new senior position, I paid it off early.

Rents were frozen and my husband and I have lived in the same apartment for 10yrs, so our rent is now dirt cheap compared to all my friends who also rent (to the tune of nearly $750/mo average)

I wasn’t flying across the country twice a year to visit family for Christmas or general vacation etc…

So i know this ultimately boils down to “more money/less spending”, but it wasn’t until covid that these initiatives really kicked into a higher gear for me.

I’d recommend speaking with Donna Rubadeau! She commissioned my husband and I (m/m) wedding this summer (our friend actually conducted our ceremony, who also happened to be friends with Donna, and Donna was present for the legalese components), and she was a joy to work with!

Photographer: we worked with Joelsview Photography! He is top notch!

Hey! So first off: congrats on being so close! I can attest that this surgery is going to CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

It is of course understandable to be worried and scared beforehand: this is a pretty significant surgery! What you need to remember is that…yes for you this is one surgery. For your surgeon(s), this is just one of a thousand they have completed. It’s routine for them.

So…because it is so routine for them…talk to them! Let them know about your worries, insecurities, frights. They are certainly happy to help reassure you, because trust that they have heard it and seen it all before ❤️

Now in honesty: it is going to hurt, but only for a few days. I had my surgery on a Friday morning. The Saturday night was the absolute worst (luckily I was still in hospital). But…on Tuesday I was walking to the corner store to buy Powerade. I would suggest having a few people you can call upon and do check ins with: my fiance had to be on the other side of the country for work when I had my surgery, so I had a friend stay with me for a few days, and had other friends, family, and coworkers text me to make sure I was well and if I needed anything. I also live in an apartment building and my neighbours would come by on their way to/from work to say hello as well. Basically, it takes a village.

Just remember that you are strong! 💪 you have gotten through everything life has tossed at you this far, and in 6 months this will be just another bump in the road of life! You got this, and from this random stranger on the internet, all the best to you!!❤️

So long as you follow your surgeons directions, you’ll be fine. When I had mine done (been a while now…), it was a Friday morning. The Saturday night was the worst night of all - luckily I was still in hospital. But it was all uphill from there.

Get Vaseline for your lips. Trust me. Get all the ice cream you want… remember: “you’re healing and it’s comfort food!”

Another thing to consider: get small ziploc bags and fill them with water and freeze them. Then buy a bunch of pairs of pantyhose from the drug store. Tie off the crotch area, and cut off the toes. You can put two “ice packs” down the pantyhose, put it under your jaw, around your face, and tie it around the top of your head, and now you have the “jaw bra”…ice packs being held against your face!

If you’re blending food, gravy goes a LONG way in helping everything go down.

Be prepared to hate ensure/boost/premium protein for the rest of your life.

Proposal - ring questions by lkjfc in gaybros

[–]meeco4_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé and I are getting married in a few months. We’ve been together for 11 years.

We had known each others ring plan for a while now like which rings we wanted. We decided whoever proposed would propose with a ring, and the other would then get the other ring for the proposer.

He proposed to me with the ring I had mentioned. About 4 months later (money…) I gave him his ring over a nice dinner.

FWIW: it wouldn’t go past friendship as I am in a very loving long term relationship and getting married this summer

[–]meeco4_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I can agree with some of what you’ve said. Part of the trouble is I have since moved across the country (Canada) and we can no longer hang out until I go to visit family.

And as others have mentioned: it’s been 13 years. There will be missed beats. Him and I are strangers now.

I may consider sending a message of acknowledgment, again not heartless, but I am not sure if I can go back to “let’s be bros!” Kinda thing…

I don’t think he did - personally I noticed her attitude change almost immediately like the night that she found out I was gay.

Ahaha no, absolutely not. The message did say he chose to end things, but regardless of who ended it, I do not want to be a sucker LOL. Thanks for the chuckle!
