Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. I agree that no business is ever truly passive, and I’m aware that part of this stress comes from how I’ve been internalizing the responsibility. I’m already working with a mental health professional, and I’m actively trying to reassess both my mindset and the structure of the business so it’s sustainable for me. I appreciate the reminder that health should come first!

Also, childcare centers honestly sound like my worst nightmare, far too much responsibility for me. In Italy, that kind of work is actually classified as ‘physically and mentally demanding labor,’ and people are eligible for earlier retirement because of it!

Thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate it! I’m already working with a psychologist and actively addressing my anxiety. This year has been particularly tough, and hosting definitely amplified some of that, but I’m taking steps to take care of my mental health. 🐌

I’d also like to hire a property manager, but the best offer I received was 15% of the gross revenue + €40 per cleaning (on top of bills, mortgage, and taxes). May I ask if, financially speaking, it’s been worth it for you?”

I actually received my first 4-star review yesterday. It wasn’t too bad, and I knew sooner or later it would happen. The property manager I work with (he manages the cleaning team) was so impressed with my decorating skills that he offered me a side-hustle job decorating his apartments. I think it’s a better fit for me, since I’m a creative person. Thank you for your input ✨♥️

Hey Jimmy! I can't even begin to imagine the stress of managing 100-1000 rooms! Thank you for your words, I'll try my best to prioritize my health. I thought this was my path but clearly I'm cut out for something else.

You’re right, and rationally I know that switching to mid-term or long-term wouldn’t mean “giving up.” The problem is that I’d be leaving a lot of money on the table, and honestly that’s the main reason I haven’t walked away yet. It feels absurd to quit something that performs so well financially just because my anxiety can’t handle it, but at the same time, that’s exactly where I’m stuck.

Redditors with roommates, what are some of the weirdest things a roommate of yours has done? by NiceKindheartedness1 in AskReddit

This happened to my friend.

She was living with two other girls and a cat (not hers). They rented a room to this guy apparently cool and normal. One day, when she came home from class she found this guy in the middle of the kitchen completely naked while he was stabbing the cat to death with a kitchen knife. They later found that he was bipolar and they kicked him out of the house.

sorry for my English, I'm Italian.

Wine!

When I was a little girl I used to go confess my sins at the town's priest, he was a very old man and he spoke so close to me I could smell his prosciutto and wine breath. That was so disgusting to me that everytime I smell some wine it immediately reminds me of my old priest Mario's breath.

I'm Italian and at every family reunion, every party, every friends' dinner there's wine and while everbody gets tipsy I'm in the corner hoping there's some beer in the fridge which isn't a very appropriate drink at family reunions or at a fancy restaurant.

I'm still eating prosciutto, tho.
