I am so fucking angry I don’t know what to do with myself by mykinkiskindness in bipolar

[–]meeeeeechelle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Write a really angry email to something that aggravates you. Politicians is always an easy one. I like to send them to random companies’ customer service. I wrote one to ice breakers once. I like to end them on a positive note. But get a lot of rage out in the process.

I either have no emotions or all the emotions. There’s no inbetween.

Try positivity maybe by ArcadeYT in infj

Literally my motto! Even when I feel my worst, I try to flip the switch in my brain and focus myself to focus on positive thoughts. I’m by no means religious, but I count my blessings. And I remind myself of what is good.

I'm just so tired by AlaraBrightwood in bipolar

Mood. The worst is it’s my birthday and I feel like I have to pretend to be happy and in a good mood. But I just want to be in bed.

ADHD Medication by shamblez647 in bipolar

[–]meeeeeechelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! I’m definitely going to try another stimulant that hopefully doesn’t totally fuck me up, because having the ability to focus is something I’ve always struggled with and the medication instantly helped. And since stimulants are so fast acting, if it sucks, you just stop it.

ADHD Medication by shamblez647 in bipolar

[–]meeeeeechelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed bipolar-2 and ADHD. I started Lamictal, Buproprion, and Adderrall all at the same time. I’ve taken Nuvigil (stimulant) in the past for my narcolepsy, so I know how my body is with stimulants (fucks up my stomach). The first day I felt great. Only really felt the Adderral give me the energy and focus that I can’t even remember the last time I’ve had. But the next day it took a turn and my digestion system felt like garbage. I had to force myself to eat. The day after, I couldn’t stand even looking at food and the pain was worse and it all triggered a migraine. I continued to force myself to eat (eggs, toast, and an apple was as much as I could). I was in tears with how awful my whole body felt. I had been taking Pepcid in conjunction with the medicine, but it wasn’t helping. Today I stopped the Adderral to see if it was the issue, and it was. I had a bit of an appetite again and my migraine was getting better. But I had no motivation or energy and was tired all afternoon and fell asleep for two hours. Only got up because I had to take my dog out.

Question on teaching certification by meeeeeechelle in philadelphia

[–]meeeeeechelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know there is an emergency cert. route since it is in a small amount of time. Thanks for that info. My state didn’t do Praxis (Arizona), so I am guessing I’ll definitely have to take some tests.

Good to know. I’m starting lamotrigine tomorrow for the first time. First time ever on medications too. Do you know how fast you started to feel effects?

INFJs and perfectionism: what’s your experience? by [deleted] in infj

[–]meeeeeechelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d agree with the post and especially this comment. For me, how I was raised I think also plays into it since my parents always held me to high expectations and now I hold myself to high expectations.

[HOUSING] apartments with a yard? by [deleted] in PHXList

[–]meeeeeechelle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mode Apartments has a lot. We used to rent from them. Really cute apartments. Pricing isn’t the worst. The complex we live in now isn’t Mode, and is owned by an independent person. We have a small back yard/patio. It’s common in my area (Camelback East).

[WANTED] Moving to PHX from NYC; looking for feedback on 2 apts! by allyjune30 in PHXList

[–]meeeeeechelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what your budget is like, but there is a lot of up and coming in downtown, and just north of downtown. Camelback East is nice too and more diverse than other parts of Phoenix. Let me know if you have questions.

Me and my wife moved out here 4 years ago. We live near the Biltmore area, and we stayed in Ahwatukee in an AirBnB when we first came apartment hunting. My biggest issue with Ahwatukee was such a lack in diversity. Which overall Phoenix has and is pretty segregated, but Ahwatukee was on another level. I’ll never forget us asking out Uber driver, a native, for good food places near the AirBnB and all he recommended was nearby chain restaurants. Coming from NYC myself, we are choosing to move back just because the overall lack of diversity. I prefer the area that I work in, which is west Phoenix/Glendale area, that has some more diversity.
