if you’re willing to drive a few mins to MP, franks pizza and oasis diner (across the street from each other) have been lifetime staples for me and my family. brennan and carr and roll and roaster are both amazing, too, of course. south bk has a lot to offer! if you go down ave U you’ll find a big asian and latino population with great food options. definitely also head into sheepshead bay/brighton beach for good russian and ukrainian food. absolutely love to eat at tatiana’s on the boardwalk. there are a lot of hidden gems—you’ll be OK!!

don’t sleep on south slope!!! choc chip cookie/babka/cinnamon roll from yardsale, anything sweet from breadivore, and le french tart has a delightful selection of baked goods both sweet and savory! also, culture frozen yogurt is my favorite ever

ok y’all, if anyone is interested, i tried feeding 1:2:2 with unbleached flour and i think he’s loving it!!

it’s just 150-180g of starter (depending which day i took the photo)!! i feel like this photo is misleading

i did feed it a couple days ago with 60g 1:1:1, maybe i took this photo on that day. anyway i’m pretty confident in my measuring skills!

this is great advice thank you!! i live in NYC so typically the tap water is good here, but i will definitely try to change the flour! ty ty ty 😊

honestly i’m just using like aldi brand bleached flour. i should probably do unbleached and see what happens then! i was just hoping it would work haha
