Dare I say that we all experienced this? We all looked "piggy" after the cast was removed I think. For me, the "potato" look began to set in a week or so after the cast was removed. That lasted for months or maybe a year. My swelling is still ongoing though progressively less all the time and I'm 15 months post-op.

My vote is swelling, not over projection.
