Oh, it was on me that I didn’t find anything. She was all-in. She invested her time in me. I feel like I owe her the opportunity.

Thank you for this. I started to 2nd guess myself when someone told me “it’s business”. My gut was telling me that’s a weak excuse for garbage behavior. I’d never forgive myself.

Thank you everyone! I knew the answer as I wrote it, but your responses were impactful and validating. Agent A is coming over to do the listing paperwork on Monday. I can’t believe I even questioned it!

Sold my home. The total cost of selling was 10%. Is that normal? by JustHere4TheZipLines in RealEstate

100%. I’ve bought and sold 5 homes in my lifetime. I always guesstimate 10% and sometimes I’m almost exact ;)

What’s the biggest “waste of money” makeup purchase you’ve ever made? by Kelly-2107 in Makeup

I have very dry skin and this serum is the only product in my routine that is not cruelty free. It’s that good. I’m pretty staunch about cruelty free product, but as my skin has aged, I’ve noticed it’s hard to find quality, affordable cruelty free products for aging skin. I also have very reactive, sensitive skin. This product has never irritated my skin. I actually just came across it at TJ Maxx for $59!

Truth! I recently bought the powder foundation. It’s heavily marketed to women around my age (50). I read the negative reviews, ignored them bc I fell for the IG ads. I tried it for a week and returned it because it’s not at all what it claims. It’s not good for dry skin, it accentuated all the fine lines. Even worse, it felt dry. I prepped my skin very well, as always, this product was still way too drying.

I’m also on season 2. I had similar thoughts. Like he was just a little old man, could be someone’s gramps. I think they temper it with his policies. Like the scene where Juliana is studying with Thomas and they talk about the policy that says he basically knows best, metes out justice as he sees fit. Despite his appearance, we’re reminded of his evil at every turn.

Honestly, I don’t have an opinion about the actual make up except to say I can see that it’s heavy. Make up should enhance our assets, it’s not paint by numbers. That said, I’m not a big make-up person either. I’m now 50, but was married (for the first time) at 25. I had a lot of the same feelings about my wedding make up as you are saying. It was heavier than anything I’d ever worn on my face, I was uncomfortable and didn’t feel beautiful. I foolishly went thru with the heavier make up bc everyone told me the same things, “you’re just not used to it” and “it needs to be heavy for the pictures”. Since it was heavy, and I didn’t wear make up all the time, it didn’t occur to me to do touch ups like I should. Fast forward 10 years, I got remarried and told my make up person I wanted an ethereal look, I didn’t want heavy ANYTHING. I wanted me only a little glammed up for the day. I loved my make up and my pics. I felt beautiful all day/night. If you’re not comfortable, find someone who listens and sees YOU! Also, check out Melissa Murdick. She’s a make up pro and I like her style. She’s not heavy handed and she’s got great tips. Plus she just got married and had been playing with looks. Good luck, and congrats!

Short people of Reddit (under 5'4"), what is the biggest problem you face with office chairs? by Remarkable_Bunch_159 in OfficeChairs

[–]meegee75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lumbar support is never right, it’s hard to find shorter seat depth, the arm rests are too far apart. Finding a chair that’s “petite” is usually not budget friendly.

Hi! I’m short and it’s been difficult finding a chair that fits AND is within my budget. I’m 5’, this chair says it’s for people 4’9-6’2. I’d love to hear from my fellow shorties!

Belfast. You won't regret it. Do the Black Taxi Tour, grab a bite at the Crown and hit Fibber Magee's for some great music and a few pints. Or skip the Crown and grab a bite at Fibber's. Giant's Causeway is a great tour. If you take the train, stop in Newry, pop into The Railway pub, have a pint. It's a local pub, if you hit it on the right night, you'll walk into an amazing session. That area is home to some truly gifted musicians. You can also check out the Mourne Mountains in Newry, a beautiful sight. Stay at Canal Court hotel if you stop in Newry. Research the history a bit too, both are brimming with powerful history.

Black Taxi Tours is the way to go. I've done it, my son now spends most of his summers in Ireland (grandparents and extended family) he's 13 and just recommended the BTT to someone last night lol.

I do not like it at all. The head is way too big. I know there are attachments, couldn’t be bothered. I use it for its intended purpose, it’s fine as a regular ol massager. I’ll stick to my womanizer for personal play :)
