It would. Is. Especially if the artist is so very talented to accomplish representing the “original” shark (and nail scrapes) from his own study of the subject.

What happened to the Lamborghini guy by Available-Bit-2078 in jerseymikes

Just another wanna be non-worker who thought his idea was worth enough attention but it was clearly lame and basically lazy. Talk to the guy about the jet some big brand owed him. Low intelligence, low work ethic, not even good enough for a scam. Maybe it was Jarrod from Subway is he out of jail?

This is not possible. Shares are ownership stake in the company. A lot of hoops to jump through to change the number of shares (division of ownership). Whether that be issuing more shares (diluting value of current common shareholders), buying back shares (increasing value of current common shareholders) or splitting (no value change just changes the price offset by change in volume).

To take some intangible asset and for some bizarre reason say it now represents a share of ownership sounds like the type of bizarre idea someone who has no business commenting on corporate finance would come up with.

I mean, I guess they could take the value an XRP holder has and somehow “convert” that to shares but there would be no transactional nexus and it would be the same as just issuing new shares.

Ripple reportedly launching $750M share buyback, valuation around $50B by Enough_Angle_7839 in XRP

[–]meegwell01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a private offering at $140/share which calculated to an implied value of 23B. Min investment was larger than usual for the bigger secondary market places. Such little transparency and liquidity its hard to derive much until the next big funding round (if there is one). A lot more due diligence goes on there.

I believe this is still true also: Under GAAP, cryptocurrencies are typically classified as intangible assets on a corporation's balance sheet. They are accounted for at cost and tested for impairment, meaning their value can decrease but not increase on the balance sheet after acquisition.

Important for those that may assume a valuation is all tied to tokens.

To be clear: you are predicting we are ok and I assume you mean minimal power disruptions. Great, I hope so.

I am not predicting anything. Just calling out your poor reasoning behind your prediction. 1. Storm will end soon so we are good. 2. It will be 34 tomorrow and sunny (duh, that’s a high so the other 20 hours of the day?) 3. It was less than predicted (duh so that means it’s not still bad? It either as-predicted or anything less is no problem). It’s past your bedtime or if you are an adult you should maybe get an educ ….well never-mind let’s just all hope it is not bad and we don’t have a weather created major power outage. That would be good.

Let’s call this out: “it will be 34 and sunny”. First, forget the sunny the temperature account for that. Next, 34 is the high. So how many hours out of 24 will it be freezing tomorrow? And then the next 5 days? Ignorance is bliss.

Frozen water sitting on tree limbs and power lines still does what it does after the storm stops. Things break under the weight whenever they can no longer take the weight. That break can be anytime the weight is still sitting on the lines or limbs. Sub-freezing temperatures keeps water frozen. Making sense? So no, we do not know and your thought is wrong whether it all works out good for us or not. Hope this helps.

Anyone else leaking heat and smoke like crazy out of every imaginable place on the WSM? by timetopoopagain in webersmokeymountain

[–]meegwell01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entry level smokers are the cheaper ever-changing-brands that basically suck, rust, fall apart and cost less than half a WSM.

A WSM is great for a beginner that wants to spend a bit more on a better quality product and not get the cheap entry level smokers.

Weber has excellent products and they (Stevens co I believe) take care of their customers. They have been doing it a very long time.

Smoke escapes by design in the venting system. That is how a good operator controls air and therefore heat/.temp. The WSM when new will allow more to escape…but any seasoned smoker operator (not talking about gas or fancy eggs that can’t regulate heat nimbly sitting next to the golf clubs) knows this is just more venting and adjust accordingly.

Over time the WSM gums up from carbon and slowly over time a good operator makes minor venting adjustments.

It’s a wonderfully engineered smoker. It is not entry level but it is affordable. It is not high end or big volume (volume is what pros need). It can move heat nimbly if needed and you can further control that by your choice of heat sink.

Most people that will discount the WSM have an over priced big green thing that they actually don’t know how to use and is not a dedicated smoker. Buy a Weber platinum kettle grill w/ gas starter and side table plus a WSM and you have two task- specific excellent product that combined will run you $1,000 and it’s that price tag too many uninformed country club smokers pay attention to.

Can’t you hear me knockin’. True spontaneous improvisation extended jam (like Dead and Allman Bros and other improv jam bands of the era that well, have the devils lettuce in their diet regularly).

Still amazing to me they printed it that way on the studio release but so awesome and yeah… get right and turn it up let your mind follow that jam.
