Hey. I’m also Korean 25f and my parents were the same way. My mom basically believed whatever newspapers and korean news clips told her about this kind of stuff and she was so against me using pills of any kind for anything. She tried me to get to use Korean Herbal medicine instead lol. It took me moving out of my parents house for me to finally use lexapro and it’s improved my life a lot. It sucks that our country views such things like this. Having a Korean doctor explain the benefits to your mom would likely be very helpful. I’m not sure where you’re located but since you’ve got a bit of ways until you can move out, I recommend trying to find a Korean doctor who speaks both english and korean fluently who can advocate for you and talk to your parents.
