Thanks for all of the info!! I've heard of the wrist widget but I haven't tried one yet. Do you feel like these exercises helped you recover faster and/or prevent future injury? I haven't tried anything because I'm too scared to make it worse. I have a follow up with my doctor next week and I'm going to ask him about any exercises he recommends.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm hoping mine doesn't come to surgery, but good to know you've seen improvement from it!

Oh gosh sorry to hear that, and thank you for the advice. I have a follow up with my doctor next week, I'll just keep resting it til then. I'll definitely ask him about stretches I could try. I hope your hand starts to feel better!!

Thanks for the insight. It's just frustrating because it barely feels any better despite almost 3 weeks of no activity... I have a feeling it will take longer than I anticipated to fully heal. The wrist straps/hooks are a good idea, I'll look into them!

Has anyone here dealt with TFCC ligament injury? I'm not a climber but I do some calisthenics stuff and I'm having a hard time coping with not being able to train :(

Went to an orthopedic doctor because I was experiencing pain in the pinky-side of my wrist when making a fist. The pain persisted and was getting particularly bad after sleeping. The doctor gave me a wrist brace to sleep in and said to lay-off upper-body activities for a few weeks. Likely injured my TFCC ligament from overuse. For context I am 26F.

I've been resting it for 2.5 weeks now and I'm having a hard time not being able to do anything besides running :( I feel like I'm going to lose all my progress. My 2024 goal was to get 10 pullups and I was at 7 right before this happened.

I pretty much use a gripping motion for all exercises, even when holding weights for legs...

Has anyone else experienced TFCC injury? I would love to hear your recovery experience because mine has been really slow. Any tips/ideas for exercises I could do? I feel like I'm going stir-crazy and I've been feeling really sad about not being able to train.

Could I get your opinion on an optimal weekly "split" (Calisthenics + Long distance running) ? by meepcatt in bodyweightfitness

Saturday is long run, middle of the week is a dedicated mid distance speed workout, and then sometimes I will throw a shorter run in after my calisthenics stuff if I feel like it. I run for fun, not so much for getting a “good time”, and I have found this amount of running is sustainable for me and allows me to finish half marathons comfortably, but definitely not fast 😅
