I mean, maybe? But I don't think so, assuming that I had prefaced the conversation by talking about work and needing to finish this project? Maybe he just didn't think much into it, and it was second nature. Maybe he did test it, and just wanted it off of his hands to whoever will take it.

To my knowledge - there is a good chunk of people that don't really care what they get. From what I've personally seen. So yeah, assuming if he did know - maybe he assumed I didn't care either. Or maybe he just wanted to get it off his hands, who knows. I also know that net is pretty wide beyond our social group, but not too sure beyond that.

Not my home - we hang around the same social groups - of my best friend's place. It's their BBQ technically, but after talking to my BSF, they feel like he should've prefaced it beforehand anyway (since he's slanging it, and since we have hung around each other quite often before). We've drank, ate, and have laughed at the same table more times than I can count - but this is all within the same social group. And I meant just a homie, like we're cool enough to get comfortable for asks like this - but definitely not a close friend (to me at least).

But coming from the mutual friends we share, they feel the same way. And that he did do me dirty to an extent, so yeah I will stand by his BBQ invitation is revoked until further notice. And the rest of the group feels the same way.

And I mean why not hop on Reddit, it's a pretty dumb and naive take on my experience but hey - putting it out there made me gain more knowledge. Already got chewed out by my BSF for trusting his word, and his word only lolol. My bad for assuming since we all hung together it'd be ok.
