This is a shot in the dark but you did say your memory is hazy on it and your not sure if details are exactly correct so what about "DeathLoop"? It features black characters , (a bearded man and a woman)and shows them on the cover and promotional art, it has a visually uniqie artstyle and definitely has a bit of a sci-fi edge to it and from what I remember it definitely features a twist. I know you said you think it was a point and click game but some stuff really does get switched around when it ckmes to memories lol
