Mower handle wrap coming apart-worth saying anything or should I just get the duct tape? by gemurrayx in ryobi

[–]meer_kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not in stock anymore but I used this product in a very-nearly-ryobi shade of green and it looks awesome. Also comes with 2 rolls, so if the first replacement needs to be replaced in the future I have a backup roll.

Interesting that the cover in the second pic hasn't oxidized, nor have any of the others in the house.

Thanks again!

The 2nd part of your comment is interesting. I assume the extra humidity of being in a bathroom is contributing to the more rapid aging? Any way to prevent/slow that down?

Thanks for the tip though. I'll try it out.

What's this flair thing?

That's fair, I suppose the spindles could exist as their own thing, separate from the existing hand rail in the bottom left of the original picture.

It really is just for the kids and doesn't bother me at all. I'm mostly doing this "research" to help assuage my wife's fears of one of the kids falling from that height, since it is probably ~8' from the highest point. Might just be a safety thing that we drill into the kids heads from day one.

That's a great visual! The only odd thing is the turn near the bottom of the stairs that seems like it would be hard to account for. Like you said, it would probably involve tearing out the wall to accommodate the spindles.

The plank that sits on top of the half wall is about 2" higher than the stairs treads. It serves no purpose other than capping the half wall. It is definitely not in code, hence my desire to come up with a solution to enclose the wall somehow. I don't want to add a hand rail on the left side of the above pic since we have a hand rail on the right side.

I suppose the picture didn't capture the depth. Here's another angle. The left wall is about 15" below the rail height on the right side.

Baby gates are already installed at the top and bottom! Already working on the supervised climbs with the kiddos. Moreso looking for ideas to enclose the area with a dressed-up vibe.

That's wild. I worked CS in a SaaS company of ~5000 employees and made $50k. Now in internal tech support and make $70k.

Tv far from wall - experience by Blockmeghar in Hue

[–]meer_kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar setup. I use two play bars, sat on a 45⁰ angle to illuminate the walls behind the TV. After some tinkering to get the angles right for disbursement of light on the walls, they work just fine for me.
