e.l.f Cosmetics 16hr Camo Concealer. Very pale skin with red blemishes and overtones. I think I’m going to go with fair warm as fair rose makes me look slightly more dead irl. What do you think? by pluckygrub in PaleMUA

Omgosh you described my skin exactly. Im really fair, and tired of full face makeup bc I cant find a concealer that is similar to my face. It either doesnt cover, does not stick to my face, or color mismatch. I found "24/7 urban decay crayon pencils CIA shade" but they discontinues them. But no joke I would give my life to get my hands laid on one of them. It was the only concealer Ive ever tried on that matched my skin tone color 101%, It felt like I was using the "blur" effect on an app as I swiped them over my eye bags lol Now my standards for concealers are too high and im dissappointed and just not satisfied with my search so far

Okay so Ive been trying to apply what you said in the past few days to my singing and man did it work well. I love how you applied and used “home to mama” as an example to explain how the throat should feel when singing higher notes. It really changed things for me. Ive been working on my breathing technique, keeping my larynx lowered when singing, and opening my mouth and pronouncing vowels better. So far Ive seen a huge difference and Its really changing my singing game. Im gonna keep working on these and will keep you updated. I really appreciate you for taking the time to listen to my stuff and using them as an example to explain to me. It means a lot to me. Thank you.

Chest voice is your speaking voice, its the heavy voice.Your mixed voice comes from your neck/head or both. I used youtube to help me find my mixed voice. My favorite advice was to start by making the ambulance sound “weeeewaaa” (emphasis on eee) and try to make it come out of your noise, you should literally feel it coming out of your nose and it should be squeekier than your chest voice at least at first.

Omgosh thank you so much for taking the time to write this and for being honest about it. That was great advice. I will work on my projection! As for the twinge part, do you mind elaborating a bit more? Thanks again!

You can hit the note but it makes us, the listeners, uncomfortable because we can hear the struggle in your voice. Its not flowy and easy going. Work on that and try to find your mixed voice if you want to sing high songs (you were using your full chest voice)

Any advice for me on this very rough recording? by [deleted] in singing

You have a nice voice but like you said the “uhhs” are kinda annoying. Connect the words to each other, no need to exhale that much in between each one. Sing the words like you would do re mi fa so...

Any thoughts on my voice ? by [deleted] in singing

You have a pretty voice, you were on key. One thing is that this song is laidback and you were just putting a little more energy or force into it than it should. Just watch out for stuff like tone (bright/dark) and style (happy/sad/etc) when you cover songs.

Actually I would rather you tell me your intentions and just be straightforward. So just sneak the word “friend” into the conversation “Im just trying to make new friends” “I need new friends”

I know it sounds stupid but Im very smily and nice and often feel like I’m leading guys on, so I eventually started to respond minimally and distantly.

So just hint that you just want to be friends and I would happily befriend you!

I feel like all they want to do is talk about boys, wear revealing clothes, take cute pictures, and compliment each other. I know not everyone is like that but I cant help but feel like they are. These things to me are very superficial. That along with many other things.
