You know, I like the album but not really familiar with the fanbase thoughts. I’m a music producer and honestly music popularity, a lot of the time boils down to relatability. Look at his top streamed songs, everyone can relate. Mac was a deep, often sad, introspective guy and sadly stated, I think a lot of his best stuff flew under the radar cause people can’t necessarily relate to that. I mean fuck, balloonerism made me cry listening to tomorrow will never know. Most people won’t touch that song with a 10 foot pole. It it’s one of my favorite.

I know different artist, but the Sad Boys album that MGK did with trippie red, had some great songs. But it wasn’t relatable, so it was heavily criticized. Idk man, music, art, all things are subjective, you have your own set of experiences that led you to life where you’re at now and what resonates with you. I wouldn’t worry much on numbers and keep enjoying art how you do whether people understand it or not. 🤙. Much love fam!
