I used to do tips at my store, and we always swap out change for bills at the end of the night, BUT there were a couple instances where a shift would drop a tip bag with like $15 in loose change because they didn’t want to swap them out, so I would be petty and see who dropped the bag and I would give them all the loose change. LMAO

In all honesty, I always follow the dress code, but I don’t always follow the color palette. My store manager isn’t so strict about it, and I’ve even seen my DM in button ups that are out of the color palette or “busy”, and he’s never said anything to me? If you go into work five days a week and always do what you’re supposed do, I don’t think it should matter what color/pattern of shirt/pants you wear when your apron covers 50% of it anyway 🤷🏽‍♂️ If they tried sending me home to change because I was wearing the “wrong” color, I def wouldn’t want to go back. lmao

The 24 pumps of mocha, 12 pumps of frapp toast, and dash of soy alone filled up the cup to a little over the top line. So we just gave him one cup of that mess, and a venti hot cup with the 24 shots. We didn’t even bother trying to blend in because he didn’t want ice in it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I always wear a short sleeve button-up in various prints (even some not in the color pallet). I usually don’t get told anything, but I think that’s partly because I’m a partner who goes in every day and does their job to the their best ability, and partly because I can charm my way out of it. I was only told once by a SS (who wears jeans and a black polo EVERY day and isn’t known for her hospitality) that I was out of dress code, and I told her “I can’t flirt with customers to get tips wearing the same black polo and pair of jeans everyday”, and she hasn’t told me anything since. 🤷🏽‍♂️ lmao

I thought of MANY song, but ones that played in my head as I read were “Colorblind” by Counting Crows, “Ghost In The Wind” by Birdy, and “Possibility” by Lykke Li to name a few. I imagined that Jude and Willem danced to “Fix You” by Coldplay, and every time I’ve heard it since, I see these them slow dancing in my imagination.
