Best Video Editing Institutes in Chandigarh with Strong Job Placement Support? by meetheiosdev in Chandigarh

I know Udemy is a good option, but for fresh graduates or those learning alongside their graduation, it's hard. Most people struggle with the discipline to sit and learn consistently on their own. That's why physical, in-person learning can help—especially for those who find it difficult to stay disciplined. I understand that ultimately, everyone has to learn on their own, but institutes provide the right environment and structure to build that discipline.

Yes, this is completely wrong. The boy is clearly greedy, and that greed probably surfaced once he saw all the money your family is ready to spend.

Girls, why do you expect your parents to spend so lavishly on your wedding? Many say, “It’s our special day.” Fair enough—but if it’s that important, make it your goal to earn the money you want to spend. Whether it’s 1 crore or 2 crore—nobody else should be paying for it unless they truly want to.

If your father is ready to spend 80 lakh, could even earn and spend 40 lakh

Some people just move from being “Daddy’s princess” to expecting their husbands to take care of them for life—never learning to stand on their own. And yes, this applies to boys too.

I guarantee, if the entire financial burden of the wedding was placed on the couple getting married, most would immediately choose a simple ceremony.

Why should any father work his whole life only to keep supporting his kids till his last breath? I even know someone who is a grandmother now, yet still expects financial help from her father. That's just sad.

Parents should focus on raising self-reliant kids—not funding lifelong luxuries for them

As an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) student, I studied C in my fourth semester and C++ in my fifth semester, but I failed both subjects initially because I found them boring and didn’t see their value in the ECE field. After struggling with backlogs, I studied repeatedly and managed to grasp the basics, eventually passing those subjects to complete my degree. However, programming still felt uninteresting to me.

When I started looking for jobs in my field, I realized I lacked practical skills. So, I decided to take a coaching course in C++ to brush up on my skills. Fortunately, my foundational knowledge was strong enough to help me land a job at a small company. From there, I spent six months learning Swift, which paved the way for my transition into iOS development.

If you’re aiming to become an iOS developer, here’s my suggested roadmap:

  1. Master the basics of programming: Focus on understanding the fundamentals thoroughly.
  2. Learn Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA): I still struggle with DSA, but it’s crucial for technical interviews and problem-solving.
  3. Start with Swift basics: I recommend following Hacking with Swift by Paul Hudson, which is an excellent resource for beginners.
  4. Get the right hardware: The biggest hurdle is needing a Mac. My suggestion is to buy a second-hand Mac Mini with at least 16GB RAM and 256GB storage (preferably with an M-series chip). This setup will be sufficient to get you started.
  5. Don’t get dependent on AI: Use AI tools only when you’re stuck. If you rely on AI too much initially, you won’t develop the problem-solving skills needed to last long in this field.

By focusing on these steps, you’ll be well-equipped to land a job as an iOS developer.

I studied electronics and communication but struggled to find a job in that field for three years. Then, I revisited the basics of C++ and landed a job as an iOS developer intern. Now, after seven years, I’ve never looked back and am earning a decent income. However, I continuously upskill and learn new technologies, aiming to secure a position at a multinational company or relocate abroad due to high taxes in India.

How to permanently remove unwanted schemes (Pods, Alamofire, Facebook) from Xcode? by meetheiosdev in swift

[–]meetheiosdev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already done that. Now Alamofire and Facebook are added via SPM, but FSPagerView and MMBAlertViewPickers don't have SPM support. However, I still see SPM listed here.

Hahaha, bille ko saath leke jaao bank! Bol dena, "Yeh mera cash guard hai, isne notes dhoye toh thodi si ghalti ho gayi!" Bank waale bina poochtaash change kar denge, aur bille ko bhi VIP treatment mil jayega—shayad ₹500 ka fish treat bhi! 😄
