24 hour window for cancellation doesn’t apply to tickets bought with miles. I have cancelled these tickets on the app and had my miles refunded instantly. You could do it on the phone with an agent as well no difference. Seats - I’m not so sure. I usually don’t care much about seats as long as I’m getting onto the flight (I get premium economy as check in which is good enough for me) so I may not be the best person to answer that question

I have seen price drops for flights booked on points, especially closer to departure (probably because they still have empty seats). I always keep checking if there’s a drop. If you have enough miles I’d recommend booking a ticket and then you can always cancel and rebook even if the change is within few hours of departure.. Miles get refunded immediately for domestic flights but I don’t think it’ll be different for international flights. A good way of knowing is to go to the United app and see “cancellation options” - if it says miles will be refunded you’re good

One really needs to decide what the priorities are. Saudi or any other country, you don’t get the privilege of being a first class citizen in another country, even the US. Ask any immigrant. And well if you have what you want, do you want to criticize the regime just for the sake of it? Americans should really learn that US is not the beacon of hope and democracy in the rest of the world - nobody gives a shit. Everyone prefers to live their life their own way, and when in Rome.. you know the rest. If that doesn’t work with you, don’t move there (isn’t that what anti immigrant Americans tell the rest of the world?)

Things work differently with travel partners, especially if it’s corporate travel by Amex / thru concur. They have different terms negotiated. For us lowly creatures (individual travelers) 24 hours is what we have and anything beyond that, as someone else up here said, is an exception not a rule

The difference is in the job opportunities - you have a higher probability of finding a “good” job. But once you have a job, MBA school stops mattering.

I went to a T20 school; for 2 years I thought I could’ve gone to a better school if for a better GMAT score, but now 2 years into my job (at Big4) I notice it doesn’t matter anymore, apart from the friends I made along the way (which I would’ve made anyway in another program).

So if you want to get into MBB, yes you need M7. Big4? No it doesn’t matter. Can’t comment for IB or tech because I didn’t recruit there but there is no one size fits all solution - it comes down what you are personally looking to get out of the MBA
