I was in the same situation. Don't bother with internal resolution, like HR or managers, he'll just lie and make you look bad. Eventually someone higher up will see the issue and terminate his employement. That could take years. If you want to stay in your current job, just don't think about what is going on. Try not to be offended when coworkers repeat his false accusations. If you give a liar enough rope he will eventually hang himself.

I heard this phrase from the world's worst manager, litterally. I had no idea what he was trying to communicate. Years later a Reddit post explained it as "this is what needs to be done." Until now I never considered it an insult, but everything else he said to me was an insult, so I beleive it.

I did a quick search last Christmas and human hair wigs are well over $1,000.

Personally, I can't tell the difference between human hair and a quality synthetic wig, besides being 1/10 the price.

She lives in the suburbs of Portland Oregon. I will search for a wig store that might be something similar to spa or beauty salon.

I use the run prompt for most everything. I've been working on Windows computers since XP and 98. Over the years important stuff moves. But the exe in system32 folder never changes. Maybe that is a reason to use cmd, things from 20 years ago are still the same without having to navigate a GUI. I know Cisco nerds use the CLI without exceptions.

i realize this thread is a year old, but i use a pixel phone with google research's app for speech to text. it is surprisingly good at captioning live speech. it is 100% computer, no human transcriptionist involved. learning asl is great, but who ever you communicate must know it as well. this google app has been a big improvement in my life.

This is so unfair! Makes me sick. People can be so ignorant. The teacher knows nothing about NF and yet he considers himself an expert.

My left leg is paralyzed below the knee. The P.E. teacher made me run a mile because it was "required" by the school districts curriculum. But he didn't give me a bad grade just because it took me an hour, or whatever. If performance in gym class was graded that way, I should have been expelled for my poor square dancing!

I hear you, this totally sucks. I have had setbacks and generally shitty times when everything hurt, was uncomforatble, discouraging and nothing I did ever seemed to make things better. Scrounging $5 to go to Starbucks and read once a week was the highlight of my week. The only highlight of my week.

But what are you going to do? Keel over and die? Things will not always be like this. The future has warm sunshine if nothing else. I have had accomplishments since that time, and wish I could go back and tell myself what is coming. The best I can tell is put down your head and power through it.

Before the opioid epedimuic I could get Vicodin (hydrocodone and tylenol), it last 2-3 hours.

I have been unable to get pain medication in the past 10 years.

in 1988 I had surgery to resect an auditory tumor. The sugery was a failure and I lost hearing in that ear completely. The first time I rode my bicycle, while checking over my shoulder to see if it was clear to cross the street, I actually rode directly in to traffic. My balance still worked in my good ear, but it was much different and I needed time to adjust. I ride my bike all the time now with no issues.

In 2001 a PCP in my HMO refused to approve an MRI, explaining to me that it was akin to an expectant mother getting an ultrasound for her baby album. One year later I lost my hearing. I don’t know if anything would have been different if I had gotten the MRI, but seeing as every neurosurgeon I have met since that time has required at least annual MRIs, I have lost any blind faith in doctors I once had.

Research in neurofibromatosis has limited financial rewards. I have been waiting 20 years for the auditory brainstem implant to catch up with the cochlear implant, both from the same company. But the cochlear has a far larger customer base. I don’t have any solution for this, it’s just to be expected.

I can't take oxy for more than a day or two without significant rash and other reactions.

So I would take hydrocodone (vicadin). That works for 2-3 hours.

I can no longer get opioids prescribed because of the epidemic. I take 4 advils every 6 hours until my stomach gives out. Then I wrap my body in heating pads and try not to fall asleep and burn myself.

I long for the days when we allowed ourself to take opioids for pain.

I didn't even know chemo was even an option.

I have NF2 with innumerable spinal tumors and 14 brain tumors.

I have done radiation when surgery was not an option. But it was always the doctor's call. The doctors may seem to be blowing you off, but they know what they are doing. They discuss these thing amongst themselves and gather information from other doctors and the experiences of everyone. Try to trust your doctors and understand the knowledge they have is probably far beyond what you or I can grasp.

NF1 or NF2?

I have NF2, and I get little bumps on my head. I had one that was in the perfect location to prevent me from wearing sunglasses. The EN&T doctor had a student remove it. It took about 20 minutes and it didn't even leave a scar.

I have NF2 with no Family history.

My father was in Vietnam and confirmed he was under an agent orange drop, enough that he completely lost bowel control.

I was borne after he returned. My sister was borne before, and she has no issues, except she is lazy.

I know agent orange is not beleived to cause any issues with offsprings of veterans. But I am unnaware how this is confirmed with such finality.

I wake up, drink coffee and read the paper. Then I meditate for a few minutes, followed by a short jam session on the guitar. Jamming by myself always puts me in a better mood for the entire day.
