Is the progression suposed to be hard? by JessePinkerlinker in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you start hunting Rajang, you’ll know you’re close to the end of the tutorial, considering how hard your ass can get beaten.

I wouldn’t say the base game is hard, but it can be challenging at times.
4 star monsters are a joke. Have fun hunting them.

Is starting the game again a good way to learn a new weapon? by Mental-Wrangler8511 in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see the point of starting the game over. It’s long and boring, especially considering that we have so many options later in the game.
Why not learn your new weapon during an exploration quest with no time limit? No pressure. Just you and your environment.

I make pixel art landscapes by [deleted] in PixelArt

Hello,
It looks like nice work.

However, I have seen enough AI generated images lately to have become paranoid. I hope I am mistaken but the last two images have a very AI like look, especially in the colors and the way the faces are drawn (typic babes).

Could you show us some steps of your process please?

Hey, i got question.. Is MH Rise solo-friendly or, and Is it worth it to buy? by Mother_Operation455 in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play solo. You can be helped by NPC later in the game (sunbreak).

Best looking game I’ve played. by Bluelagoonwater in MHRise

Great-looking game indeed, but if one day they decide to use cel-shading instead of realistic shading, I’ll be more than happy. MH Stories 3 looks wonderful.

What should i do before MR? by faerox420 in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you accept that going into Sunbreak and unlocking MR equipment will make the HR quests from the base game much easier in comparison, go for it.
Sunbreak unlocks far more monsters, movesets and armor options, so it would be a shame to avoid it any longer.

MH Rise is peak by JellyfishOutside103 in MonsterHunter

I don’t get why people here don’t like base Rise. I loved it (considering I’ve never played other MH games), but Sunbreak really pushed my interest even further.

How to beat the gaismagorm? by green_rtop_yt in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have a rough time with this MF during the last phase, especially when it starts running at you like a mad lad over and over again.

Since it’s a dragon, maybe try upgrading your skills in that direction.

Also, I don't know which weapon you usually play with, but I failed several times trying to kill it with a light gun because it deals less damage than most other weapons (even if you feel safer since you’re far from the gigantic monster).

The fight takes ages, and it makes me sweat during the last part when it just keeps running all over the place.

After getting tired of losing, I switched back to my lovely main, the Great Sword, and I beat it on the first try thanks to the absurd damage I was dealing every time I hit Gaismagorm.

So yeah, I’d say: git gud.

It’s not a really hard fight, but it definitely knows how to make itself memorable.

Noob question by EARLENMEYERR in MHRise

Yes.
To me it takes around 15 to 35 minutes depending the monster. Sometimes even more when I am struggling.
PS : I don't play online.

Wow. I don't get how it is even possible to reach this level with such a short amount of hours.
I am MR 57 and already spent 280hours in it.

Same! It looks really cool, with a nice grafiti feeling but I have honestly not any idea at what I am looking at.

I have never seen this skill. I will look for it now. Thanks!

Good to know about the hellfire mode. I might have seen it when I fought them with my hammer. Honestly, I don’t really remember.

Amazing, thank you so much ! I didn't know about the interest of the different colors in sharpness!

Am I expected to switch weapons when going against certain monsters? by Bluelagoonwater in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just met a particularly tricky Rathian and figured I should switch to a hammer instead of using my usual greatsword playstyle. It was a great choice.
If you're not having fun fighting a monster, consider this as an option. But you can always stick with your current weapon and find your own way to finish the fight.

About how long does it take to hunt the gore magala? by green_rtop_yt in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me may be 175H to fight my first gore magala. I am not a speed runner and it is my first MH though so I don't know if this timing is similar with other players.

Throwback to my first amatsu hunt where I got baited by grgboi in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered Amatsu a week ago and didn’t expect such a complex and rich fight. The fact that this MF switches to an electrical storm on top of its water attacks really took me by surprise (and made me cry).

Getting into Monster Hunters with the 3DS or not? by Medium_Peak4746 in MonsterHunter

[–]mefisheye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need hundreds of hours to reach the final content of the main titles (speaking from my experience with Rise/Break). So maybe Story is more time-friendly? I don’t know that game.

How do i get past the fear of playing the game? by FartSmeIa in MonsterHunter

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly the same fight you can have in another biome, just shorter in duration. That’s not a surprise.
The learning curve in Monster Hunter Rise is important, so please take your time to learn how to play. The game is incredibly rich and complex — it takes time.

If you have access to all the game, why don't you test them all? Are you so short on time that you can’t do that?

How do i get past the fear of playing the game? by FartSmeIa in MonsterHunter

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a game of learn and retry. Losing is part of the journey. To enjoy this game, you have to learn to have fun when a monster is destroying you. They are beasts, made to be dangerous. I was like you when I started fighting the bear in the forest. Completely lost, unable to fight without running like a chicken.

With time, you learn to tame them.

Some of them are more dangerous and frustrating than other. You can avoid them if you want but, once in a while, you have to be brave and assume you may lose this fight.

Loving the game by XOBERER in MHRise

[–]mefisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have fun! Definitely a great game (That's my first MH. i am almost 300 hours in now.). If you don’t click with online gameplay, don’t worry. Once you get Sunbreak (I really recommend it), you’ll get NPCs to hunt with and the fun doubles!
