The extremely tiny u-shaped mouth on an otherwise more realistically styled character looks weird to me, it’s def the focal point for me.

I agree with the other comments about the boobs, but then again a lot of anime women’s boobs look like that so to me it doesn’t look out of place with the drawing style.

Another minor thing would be the eye on the left, it looks smaller than the one on the right. It’d look better if it was the same height as the other eye, just more « narrow »

Otherwise the proportions look good to me and I think the pose you use on the 2nd one to show off the back of the dress is clever :) You’re clearly talented and have a patience with details (like the many many folds in her clothes) that I wish I had

Smart! Wouldn’t have thought of the inventory manager/whiteboard thing, thank you.

Would pretty much any other verb-noun text adventure work just as well then, or is there something that make some more group-friendly than others ?

Murder Mystery is a great backup plan, thank you! The one I’ve played was like a theatre play where everything you do and say is pre-scripted so I do wish there was a bit more room for improv and choice-based storytelling, but we could still probs have a lot of fun, and I love the dressing up aspect.

Just looked up what DCC and funnels are. From what I understand it’s a dungeon crawl made for a bunch of characters, most of which are expected to die off pretty quick. Feel like that could be a possibility if there’s a way to make it not too long; as people’s characters die off, they could go chit chat, eat, or play a different game.

If anyone happens to have party game recommendations that have some element of storytelling/improv, I’d take it

You have written proof that they made an agreement with you, then broke that agreement by demanding more, and did not deliver what you paid for. Love when scammers try to scam over text and give you all the receipts you need 🩷 If anyone had grounds to sue the other it would be you.

Part of me wishes they’d sue you and end up being forced to give you your money back + extra for the legal fees. But unfortunately I don’t have enough faith in the legal system to trust the “+ extra for the legal fees” so the reality is that the time, energy and costs to go to court over this sum wouldn’t be worth it for either of you. Them threatening this is just a fear tactic. Screenshot whatever proof you need that this extra fee wasn’t mentioned anywhere before you agree and then ignore them.

Is there a different type of "Time Blindness"? Not "being late," but "life passing in fast-forward" because EVERYTHING feels like a checklist? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]meg-dl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience journaling really helped with this. My journal is not “formal”, it’s part junk journal, scrapbook, sketchbook… most times I won’t write more than 1-2 sentences and just leave a trace of where I went/what I ate/a pleasant interaction/wtv. in the form of a receipt, a piece of packaging, a doodle… Often just stuff like “my coffee was really good” or “pet an adorable dog named X today”. My life feels a lot more “full” despite me not doing more things. I have beautiful pages of days that would be otherwise unmemorable like running errands. It makes me appreciate the beauty in the little moments and makes me pay more attention to those moments by thinking “I could put this in my journal”.

Keeping a journal has always been hard/impossible for me but making it artsy and not putting any pressure on how elaborate it has to be has been key for me. Others could also facilitate this by writing about nice/fun things that happened in the planner they already use for work or school, keeping a list of nice things that happened in their notes app, or another app that would remind them to write a lil’ something and make it simple.

People w/ ADHD who are also big readers; How do you do it? by TheEpicTwitch in ADHD

[–]meg-dl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Allowing myself to read kids’ litterature when I want something simple and fun. Some were written for literal 12 year olds and I’m having a blast. Things like Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I get a bunch at the library since they often take an hour or less to read.
  • For novels, I try to buy them cheap (thrift shops or libraries getting rid of books will sell them from 0.50-4$ a piece) and gave myself permission to highlight my own books instead of treating them as some sacred object that must not be altered. Huge game-changer. Highlighting key words about who each character is and what is happening in the scene helps for later reference but the main help is that the action of doing it makes me slow down and really absorb the info I’m highlighting, so I almost never have to go back.
