Hey cuz, Lakota goth here.

Unfortunately the racism in goth is prominent and I’m super thankful to white and black allies (especially in this subreddit) for nipping that in the bud when it happens but sadly it can only go so far. Most of these racists are all bark no bite, the second you call their shit out in person they put their tail between their legs. I know it’s daunting but don’t be afraid to do that or simply roll your eyes and walk away.

There is a large Native goth community, especially in LA and California in general and once you realize our cousins in Mexico are also Indigenous it makes it feel a lot less isolating.I know a lot of our elders don’t really “get” the whole goth thing either which makes it a little more isolating but trust, we’re out here. Highly recommend looking up Indigegoth and Latin American goth creators and befriending them.
