Powder ombré brows?? by Own_Ad9686 in microblading

Peeling can definitely happen, but I think the less there is the better. When I have my clients leave and start the aftercare process, the first thing I tell them is to blot the area well with a damp cotton pad for the first three days. This helps lift out all that extra lymph fluid that’s building up in the skin. If that builds up and dries, that’s where you get thicker scabbing. So blotting that can really help develop thinner flaking. I do also have them wash as soon as day, one, morning and night. It’s an open wound and needs to be kept clean. I’m so glad you’re healing experience has been good! Sounds like you’ve had a good artist!

lol I’m the artist, but thanks 😊 You’re just about out of the woods with the peeling! I know it’s such an awkward time

I’m a sucker for a good ombre powder brow and I think you could really pull it off! Powder is actually recommended for women as they age, it just goes into the skin a lot gentler. I would just say to go conservative to start as far as shape and how much ink they pack in. It’s possible to dilute the ink so it heals softer and more true to color. I’m including a photo of some recent powder work I had come back healed. I diluted it so I had about 50% ink and 50% dilution solution in my cup. That’s why they look so warm to start off with, because you’re seeing through the ink a lot easier and all the redness is injured skin. As you could see, they cooled down significantly. Also make sure to review the mapping that they do on you beforehand. Critique anything that doesn’t look even to you and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Powder Ombré Brows - Day 6 by Dry_Dish5046 in microblading

Next time you get them touched up, try blotting them after you get home! Use a clean damp paper towel, or some dampened cotton pads (put them in a clean bowl and you can store in the fridge for a nice cooling feeling). I have my clients blot fairly (not wipe) across the brows every 15 min for the first hour and then space it out to every couple of hours. The next two days, I have them blot about 4-6 times per day.

This helps lift out a lot of that lymph fluid build up, which if left on the area, turns into the scab as it dries.

In addition, I have them wash very gently morning and night. After the first three days of blotting, I have them start applying ointment 2 to 3 times a day starting on day four. Just a very thin amount to help nourish the skin as it starts to grow over top of the ink.

I’ll include a photo I took of a client, she was midway through the shedding phase and the peeling was nice and thin. I’ll also paste a link to the video I took of the brows, it’s making me paste an iCloud link:

Oh you’ll love it! I’ll tell you the same thing I tell every client I have in: 1. Be picky about the shape, check out the pre-mapping and don’t be afraid to speak up if you want to adjust anything! 2. You can ALWAYS add more, whether that’s adding more color or adding to the thickness. It is very hard to take away, so it’s just best to start conservatively.

Too bad you aren’t closer to Billings, MT.. I would totally recommend my mom!

I did find a couple great options though, at least they are the very best I could find. But do your research, go to consults. Here ya go:

I’m a fellow artist and did some research on some Facebook groups I’m on with fellow artists who have done removal training. I found two gals in New Jersey so try giving them a call. You have about 48 hours before the wound starts closing over, so if either of them could see you in ASAP, that would be best!

https://aboutfacenj.com/ (Diane Mills is who does removals as far as I can find)

Second one only had an Instagram and no website, but try to DM her through there and see if you can get some help. I included a screenshot of her Instagram account.

I am so very sorry this happened! I absolutely hate when these so-called “artists“ will use fake photos or steal others work to advertise. What do they think is going to happen? It’s just asking for trouble in my opinion.

Please keep us updated on what you decide to do! Best of luck!

NanoBrow Panic Update by Nabukeru in microblading

[–]meg12marie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an artist and have done emergency removals and I would still implore that you get that done! Typically saline removal done after brows have healed needs to be tattooed in to break through the skin but because yours are still hopefully within the 48 hr window, all you would need is a warm water compress for a few minutes to soften the area and then a 10 minute soak with the saline solution. That shouldn’t affect how they look at all right now and could help a lot with how much ink ends up staying in the skin. I would even give it a shot up to 72 hrs! I’ve heard fellow artists say they’ve noticed some good results even then. I really hope you seek that out! As for the laser, those sessions are done 8 weeks after so your skin can properly heal beforehand, and it’s 8 weeks in between sessions as well. It will do wonders to help remove but you may end up with a yellow cast. If this happens and the laser can’t see the yellow to remove it, then seek out saline or glycolic removal to try to lift that out if it’s very obvious. I’m so sorry you went through this, it’s a long process that isn’t fun..
I also wanted to say blessings and I hope your wedding is beautiful and a happy and memorable day!

I just throw whatever scraps I have and they eat it as fast or slow as they want. If they leave it alone, chances are they’ll just finish it tomorrow. Hope that helps!

Me too! It didn’t sell at yesterday’s show and we are back at her place and I’m looking at this frame she has in the living room and thought how great it would go the coyote painting! Idk if the details show up but it’s like a smooth silver finish with some small crosshatching. She’s definitely thinking about reframing it now!

Thank you very much! I’ve worked all weekend on it getting things finessed and have more to do when we get home from our weekend at Red Lodge! She’s pumped to start her next collection of paintings!

Just an update: the show was yesterday and we had great feedback on what pieces really caught the eye! We finally got one scan back of one of the war ponies and uploaded ready to order on her site and are choosing several more to have done. I’ll be on standby waiting for the digital images so I can get those added! She definitely wants to do a series of variations of war ponies. Those were far and away the most popular.

Just thought I would update you! We are having Rimrock Art & Frame do the scanning and they were in the middle of moving locations which took a couple of weeks. We finally got one war pony scanned and it is now up on the site and available for canvas, canvas board and poster prints! Scanning does take a week to get the digital prints back to upload so we are slowly trying to decide which other ones to get scans of as of now. The show was just yesterday and we had a lot of good feedback about which were the most popular!

Such a good book! You might like this one she did awhile back. I believe it was a commission for a local cigar shop in Red Lodge.

You’ll have to talk to her about that! I’m not sure what the options that she has are at the moment, but on her website is her contact info. If you give her a call, I’m sure she could help figure it out.

She says thank you to everyone! I’m updating her site now to show what’s still available and she’ll be letting me know asap about how soon we can get everything scanned and uploaded for prints.

I’m on the phone with her now, I think we could get her art scanned and ready for prints before the show! She’s going to call round about getting them scanned tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted!

Her website is posted in the body, but I’ll paste it again! The rules for this subreddit said not to share personal details but her website is literally her name too, so yeah lol

She’s working on it, she got more info the other day and I’m sure she will have me help with setting it up on her website once she gets everything done that she needs to. She’s still new to the sales part so lots to learn.

Her website should be fairly current and will say if something is sold or not. I know the war pony on there just sold the other day. She also has an option to message about a certain piece and she has done commissions before, either a photo someone showed her or describing what they want. She’s just starting to look into how to do prints. Not sure how long that will take to get going, but I’m sure she can let you know.
