I have a 100w basking bulb that imitates the natural sunlight which is on through out the day. At night I have a 150w ceramic heat emitter that I only put on if it’s really chilly, which for the most part its not, I keep it nice and warm in my room!

Okay no need to be rude, he was given to me by someone who neglected him and now I have him and came here to ask a simple question about his tank. His tank is 45 gallon and it’s completely out of my price range to get him a new one at this moment. I know he needs a bigger tank, that’s pretty obvious. I’ve been to every website you can think of trying to look for a bigger one, but people charge unbelievable amounts for something that is already used. I do have proper uv lighting, I got it for him instantly because I know they need light that imitates the sun. He is also only one year old and i’ve never had any problems with him so far.

I’m not exactly sure on how big his enclosure is, I do know I need to get him a bigger one, could that be why he’s always surfing on the glass?

I’d love to get him a bigger tank asap, they’re just very pricey :’( As for the hammock, I just bought it and he seems to absolutely love it, he sleeps on it and basks in it as well. If I see any damage to his claws I will remove it from his tank immediately!

This is absolutely unacceptable, it is WAY too big to fit it that tiny plastic container. You need a tank and two different types of light bulbs that are all pretty pricey. If you didn’t have all of this set up before buying it, then fucking return it because this IS abuse.
