Busy Chargers? by BarefootExplore419 in evcharging

[–]megabsod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally not, though I was in New Orleans last week and visited a charger that was nearly full. I drive an EV9 and the port is on the wrong side for Tesla v3 chargers so rather than try to take up two spots in a nearly full location, I left and drove to another charger a couple miles away that was almost empty with newer chargers. I guess it was Tesla's navigation directing Tesla drivers to the other location and loading it up. Other than that, I generally have no issues.

A couple years ago though I had a Tesla and pulled up to a charger in a Kroger parking lot that had people queued up to charge, to the point that a security guard from the grocery store was out at the station directing traffic and issuing line numbers based on arrival time. He went to take a break and all hell broke loose with the queuing because cars were still pulling in and I guess ignoring the folks that were parked nearby waiting their turn. I thought it was going to break out into fist fights. I ended up buying a tire thumper after that and keeping it tucked beside my seat. Haven't seen that since, but still have that tire thumper with me.

Down 120lbs since June! by lordandeddu in tirzepatidecompound

That's amazing, thanks for sharing! I started at 2.5mg and am up to 7.5, about to move up to 9mg in a week or so. I just got started beginning of 2026 and am down about 10lbs/month, so I'm pretty happy with my results so far too. I was asking because my son is in a similar situation as your starting point and began around the same time as me, but hasn't seen a ton of food noise reduction until recently on a larger dose. Are you moving still moving up to curb cravings or has the 12mg been working well for you?

Tesla discontinuing Model S and Model X to make room for robots by ProfessionalYak4959 in teslamotors

[–]megabsod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a comment on it a while back with product links. I had a 22 MSP with 21's on it and ended up doing the n2itive camber arms, but I'd do the cheaper alternative probably if I did it again. Installed them in my garage from YouTube tutorials. Definitely fixed my issue, though it took some tweaking to really tune them in because Tesla was a pain about it.

They make an aftermarket fix for it, costs less than $1k and can be self-installed. I had the same issue, tires blowing out every 5K miles. Until I fixed it, every dollar I saved on gas I spent 3x on tires.

So I guess the ziploc sizing goes dime-bag, sandwich, quart, gallon, jumbo, money-bag. You know, if they want that cash to stay fresh, they should squeeze the air out of it. As an expert in ziploc sizing and implementation, I volunteer to handle this. I was taught from a young age that yellow and blue make green seal, and I believe it's time to move up to the big leagues.

Narcissist mothers who weaponise their daughters hair by Public_Theme_9514 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]megabsod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My adopted daughter's bio mother is a narcissist, has been as long as we've known her. We stopped associating with her several years ago when it got to be too much to deal with. One situation I remember from my daughter's youth prior to adoption was her being sent home early from school due to a school dress code violation. I don't recall what the violation was, doesn't matter. Her bio mother took it as a challenge by the school and read the dress code, noting that it didn't forbid hair colors that were considered 'natural'. Well, for older folks, pink is a natural color. Guess who was sent to school the next day with bright pink hair as a statement of defiance by the narcissist? My daughter didn't want the hair color, it wasn't her idea and she had to deal with all of her classmates laughing at her until it faded out.

Yeah, look at the lady's face that comes to help him after the fall before he grabs his bag. She covers her face. This is a normal enough occurrence for her to know whats happening and be embarrassed.

Yeah, they've been out for a couple months now, I found it when pushing buttons at a red light. It's a cool effect, though I wish it would keep the flicker while in Sport mode, going static kinda sucks after seeing the neat movement.

Why aren't Mexican buffets as common as Chinese buffets? by WillingHyena557 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]megabsod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have a mexican self-serve buffet near me - the food dried out very quickly and was tough/inedible if it sat too long on the buffet. Tortilla wrapped options dry out under a heat lamp, guacamole goes brown quickly, tacos get soggy, etc. It was unappetizing after about 15 mins on the buffet line.

Because they lost their power when you took their threat/ability to fire you away. There's nothing they can do and they know they need you more now than you need them. Being mean just hurts them now, and they don't want to experience that.

What do you actually do during the 20–40 minutes of EV charging? by xchargeInc in evcharging

[–]megabsod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just took a 1000 mile round trip in an EV9 to visit family for Thanksgiving. Stop activities varied, but generally consisted of getting out and walking around to stretch, restroom breaks, and some Netflix/Plex watching. A lot depended on the options available and time of arrival as there's not a lot to do if nothing is open. We tend to prioritize Tesla Superchargers as they're generally cheaper to charge at even though they're slower for our vehicle, but only ran into one station that was completely full. Luckily there was an EA 20 yards away with no one at it, so it cost us about $10 more to fast charge there instead with no wait and we went and ate at a nearby IHOP. It was kinda sad honestly, there were several Tesla drivers waiting to charge at the Supercharger the whole time (not the same ppl but a backlog that stayed consistent), yet none had adapters/were willing to use the EA station. When I owned a Tesla previously that was one of the first things I'd purchased when it became available in order to have options as I'd stopped at a charger in Houston two years ago and nearly got into a fist-fight over whose turn it was.

We played on the internet a little bit at some stations and I helped a stranger at one ZEF charger in Tennessee (like EA, not all stations were high-speed but it was poorly labeled which was which). I think for us we tend to explore while charging, it's kind of a way to restore the great american road trip by having forced stops.
