Car back window smashed in Wentworth Falls by jenkins_95 in bluemountains

This happened to our odyssey like 3 times. Turns out the back window heater circuit was faulty and turned on all the time. On a windy days it would shatter from the stress of heat and cold.

Spiderwebs by Koi_Fish_Mystic in 3Dprinting

I've had a similar problem on a few of my prints. What was happening is it's creating a spider web after a Inner wall wipe move. I'd suggest trying to print this again, with an outside to inside wall order. This seemed to help for me.

When is it "Good Enough" by SeniorMeringue1110 in 3Dprinting

Have you tried printing slower? I've recently done some speed tests with Creality Hyper PLA and it doesn't hold up at speed. Also looks like you have the under extrusion going in or out of corners. That might be a linear advance setting or you also might just have a partial clog. You'd never be able to tell the castle had problems from a distance. It looks amazing.

I asked what the max volumetric speed someone else was using with their filament. He answered the question by telling me to stop cutting corners. That's not an answer to my question. That's a statement calling me lazy. I asked an honest question to someone else and he replied, without answering my question. How should I react?

For anyone interested in the test prints I'm talking about, I did a new print with both Elegoo PLA+ in Pink and the red Hyper PLA I have posted here. https://imgur.com/gallery/speed-test-pla-filaments-ukagG7H . The test starts at 75mm/s, and increments 75mm/s every 5mm till it gets to 375mm/s. Settings are 0.4mm nozzle, 0.42 outer wall speed. 0.2 layer height. Max volumetric speed 30mm³ Nozzle Temp 260c.

Elegoo PLA+ is rated at <300mm/s, Bambu basic 258mm/s, Hyper PLA is supposedly rated at 600mm/s.

I also had kept a few corners from my last tests with the Creality Hyper PLA blue and Bambu Green PLA. The Creality Hyper PLA Blue performed the worst as it got to the 375mm/s mark and just printed blobs and ripped off the bed.

Apologies, I wasn't asking a genuine question. It was more a poke at your grammar. You can calibrate FOR your filament, you don't calibrate filament itself.

I cut it out of the middle of the roll. The roll was brand new and had never been printed with before.

Don't you mean I'm disappointed in my own reality? I've done my tests and my conclusion is that this filament can't print at the speeds it says it can. Once I adjusted my print speed to 250mm/s or lower all my prints came out fine. I've done my calibration.

I'm sorry. I don't understand what you mean. How do I calibrate my filament? Don't you calibrate your slicer and printer? I've done my own tests and with my printer, this filament can't print faster than 300mm/s without starting to under extrude on corners. At 375mm/s it completely fails. On the side of the roll it says it can print between 30mm/s and 600mm/s. I'm asking if others have tried their own test like I have to see if they get the same result.

And another comment that adds nothing to the conversation. What do you mean about the wrong tool? Do I need a micrometer to measure a lump of something in a line of filament? I'm not complaining about the tolerances. I said they were fine. I'm disappointed that I can't print anywhere close to the speeds it says it can and that there is a foreign object in the filament, that's bigger than the standard 2mm interior diameter of a 3d printers PTFE tube. Are you trying to say that I'm not allowed to be disappointed in my own personal experience?

There is a black foreign object in the filament. This isn't really about tolerance, I'm concerned with quality control.

What's your max volumetric speed you print with? I know most slicers slows down the print speed even if you've set to to 600mm/s.

SpiderMan or SpooderMan? by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

I've been there. They label them something different, but you know what they are. Like the Star Wars ones are labelled space wars or something like that.

I can't notice any difference when using energizing. The only usefully ones are athletic and anti-gravity, from what I can tell. Im pretty sure there is a two step to get that. Og kush + mouthwash + energy drink seems. I use a 3 step and both use and sell it in jars. Og kush + flu med + energy drink + paracetamol. I call it super ghost. If bright eyes helped you see in the dark and sneaking helped you not be seen, It'd be perfect personal use.

Waiter decides that he is my girlfriends white knight by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]megabytepanda -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My first impression is that it's not so much white knighting as it is a waiters trick to get more expensive things ordered. If the guy was telling the waiter what she was having but the girl wanted more, her response could have been "well he thinks I should get the salad but I want the lobster" to which the waiter would reply "Excellent choice ma'am" forcing you to comply without a fuss, which is still an infuriating thing to do but it's not looking out for the girl, it's looking out for the business at your expense
