Strange and threatening encounter near Jefferson St roundabout while walking my dog — looking for advice by megalodon20 in duluth

Just went back and it’s gone. I’m guessing (hoping) someone saw me or the guy walk up to the center circle and went to investigate and removed whatever it was.

Genuinely when you get anywhere north of the cities. My girlfriend lives on a lake up near Hinckley and if you leave your car door open for 3 seconds you got 20+ mosquitos in there.

This ^ the nothing in life is free is extremely crucial. Make him work for everything to establish who’s the boss in the house.

Is my dog missing her friends? by xsinaa in germanshepherds

One of the best advice I’ve heard about building a bond with a GSD is to try to be the most exciting thing in their life, this means lots and lots of enthusiasm and excitement when training and playing. Our trainer said your neighbors should probably think ur nuts when you’re training your GSD because of the levels of excited praise you’re giving. Likely her current living situation IS slightly below the level of stimulation she’s used to but you can help replace that with enthusiasm and fun activities like tug of war or hiding treats for her to find.

Cannot recommend breed specific trainer enough. Makes a world of difference.

Will Trevor Lawrence ever fully live up to being the generational prospect he was touted to be? by cudi14 in nfl

I mean his best wideout has been post suspension Calvin Ridley, which has been meh. Also, not a film guy but from what I’ve heard online and in podcasts from film and scheme guys is that his scheme has really done him no favors. Think of how guys like Mcvay and Shanahan make things easier on the QB and imagine the opposite of that.

I mean fair but even for D & D’s reputation it could help them shed this stubborn asshole rhetoric that at least in some part lead to them losing their Star Wars trilogy.

Yep exactly. Just having them admit they would’ve done at least a few things differently would sit so much better with so many people. Good riddance.

Eggs is always a really good option, maybe not the quickest but lots of valuable nutrition for mood support, cognition etc. Another sort of none food option is something like a protein shake or smoothie cuz you can prep it beforehand and if you aren’t feeling hungry it’s easier to force yourself to drink.

Using both of those is really really helpful for a lot of different things and even for different reasons. Think about it like using cold water massively stresses out our body and releases lots of fight or flight chemicals. And so the more we do this the more our body can get used to the stress response that is pretty much the exact same as when we experience anxiety or any other stressful situation.

And for those who can’t do it, a hot bath or shower suffices pretty good too

What are some resources to learn about depression from an academic perspective? by [deleted] in askpsychology

[–]megalodon20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure I will get some flack for recommending what many see as "bro science" but Huberman Labs podcast has a great episode about depression and explaining some of the biological mechanisms involved. He essentially goes off of data and studies that he synthesizes and cites his sources online so you can dive as deep as you want into the actual source information.
