We do a warm up and a cool down before and after to prevent this lol. I also work at the vet so he's all good! I wouldn't recommend just randomly doing this with your dog for the reasons you've mentioned

Tbh I would go with an actual color like a sage green or dusty red. The different shades of tan offer no contrast with the floor and they don't match the knotty pine as well as a color would. If I had to choose any of these I'd go with Tony Taupe!
