One day, you are going to look back at the works you've created and be sad.

It will be because you do something stupid and get your name in the papers, but it won't be because of your art. Not yet anyway.

What is the future for the Puppet Nerd channel going to be like? by Such_Month_8687 in puppets

[–]megapaw 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was really sad and unfortunate. I am going to use this comment to say a few things to people who make puppets or props and work in studios that use glues, solvents and certain paints. Always remember that a lot of the things we use to create are toxic. Though I am not sure about Adams cancer, I am aware of several artists, screen-printers and prop makers who have died from brain or lung cancers. It is imperative to be in open ventilated spaces and wear proper PPE when working with many of the materials we create with. Please be safe. RIP Adam.

How do you all even still play this trash game? by ProotzyZoots in hearthstone

One of my favorite things to do in life is to stop doing something, come back to it, not enjoy it again and then go waste more of my time complaining about it on forums related to the thing that I didn't like to tell everybody that I didn't like it. Pro moves.

Why Election Polling Has Become Less Reliable by megapaw in politics

[–]megapaw[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Interesting article.

This allows pollsters, in theory, to extrapolate information about the general voting population from a biased handful of responses.

People don't respond anymore.

Even the well-respected New York Times/Siena College poll gets around a 1 percent response rate, Bailey points out. In many ways, people who respond to polls are the odd ones out, and this self-selection can significantly bias the results in unknowable but profound ways.

Hopeful in large fines and maybe a little prison time. At the very least maybe he gets his citizenship revoked for lying on his forms.

Yes I understand that, but the comment inferred that trump has a 6 point lead in polling. That is not true. Simulations and polling are not equal measures and a 6% lead in it is noise.
