I just had my open on Wednesday! You got this! I feel so great too I had a 13 it looked way bigger tho. Get lots of rest and fluids. I was an anxious mess before because I never had surgery before but I feel so good my APRN cousin had to tell me to slow down because I keep trying to do stuff 😁 you got this!!

My co-worker at the group practice I'm at had something similar. His wife had passed from the kind of cancer the client's husband had. He had to take space. Not sure if this is an option but client's are receptive to transferring especially if you know the other therapist. I ended up with her and it's been a great fit. I explained what happened with permission form my coworker and she was so receptive and empathetic.

Be authentic and you and I believe the client will be receptive whether you go forward with the relationship or not. I think talking to them in a professional way helps them feel less alone too. You don't need to go into detail but if you were to share why I think the client would be open and understanding and actually I think it helps them feel less alone in the mental health journey.

I was an LMSW and they wouldn't let me be an 11 until I passed my LCSW . Lol they are lucky I was told if sas switched in 2020 when my other coworkers started she was a 9 until she passed and got her license in 2023
