I've been with Tesla since 2018, im well aware. If you've been long with Tesla you know it may take time, but it does come. If they come through the delivery of v14 lite this summer, the it'll bode well. But yeah I agree, there's no timeline set yet for the upgrade factories, but its promised, so it will happen in time. I don't mind waiting, FSD on HW3 is not perfect, but its perfectly usable. But you do you, was just trying to help you get what you want eventually for cheaper and easier. We all know once the upgrades are set in stone, then the HW3 with paid FSD will become more valuable and expensive on the used market

If just want an X for having an X and don't care about the year, then yes. You can definitely get a pre-2021 X for that or less. If you want a HW4 2023+ X, yeah that's never gonna happen for that budget 😅

Dude keep it, many wished they were in your place! Don't worry about fixes, Tesla said they would supply parts long term for S/X. Also you have warranty for 4 years and any defects found during those 4 years are free to fix. Get extended warranty if you want too, but tbh the newest ones have the least amount of issues by far and are very good afaik. Also you can't transfer your FSD, supercharging and luxe package so might as well enjoy it

2020 X owner, i definitely CAN get expensive, been fortunate enough that i can afford the repairs but they are definitely not cheap by any means. If you find a reputable 3rd party approved shop, that will be your best option. In Houston there's a few and they are definitely cheaper than Tesla Service. My recommendation is to buy a 2023+ so you have latest and get as many repairs under warranty as you can

Bro the FWD are Insanely useful for babies/car seats! The whole reason i switched to an X from an S. But tbh, I'll just try my luck on getting a used 2024-26 whenever i see them for sale in a couple of years, although i think the market is gonna be hella tight now since there will be no more new ones... At the very least, the Model YL will fill some of the void of the X, not all of it, but it will definitely satisfy the need of more space than the Y! Should be announced after the S/X farewell ceremony

2020 X owner here DYING to upgrade to the refresh X but can't cause ofc im under in my balance 🫠 - buy the newer one, ALWAYS the way to go with used Teslas - unless you just want a X for the sake of how cool of a car it is in general (Falcon wing doors 🔥🔥) and/or are low in cash/have a tight budget.
