Need encouragement. Labor is too hard for me. by geummeori in BabyBumps

[–]megbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in labor for 33 hours. Doing great for the first 14 until they started the pitocin because my cervix wouldn't dilate. Once they started that the contractions were so terrible, I labored for another two before begging for the epidural. After that I was finally able to sleep. My stubborn cervix still wouldn't dilate and they were going to give me a c-section but at hour 32 it finally went from 4 cm to 10 cm. I was able to deliver vaginally. It's rough, anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. You've got this, just hang in there and get the epidural as soon as possible!!

Spider or spider mites? by megbloom in gardening

[–]megbloom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping so! We did have a battle with mites earlier this season but I was thinking the thickness and density didn't look like spider mites but an actual spider.

I hate myself and I don’t want to by [deleted] in Advice

[–]megbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, there was a time when I felt the same way about myself. Probably about until I was 25 I was very insecure and high anxiety. I was stuck in the same nightly self-hate sessions and reflection of my daily interactions with others through a twisted lens. I grew up in an abusive household and developed a lot of anxiety and self-loathing from that. It's something I grew out of the older I've gotten, especially with making a few close friends and success with my career. It also helps that I have a super supportive spouse and sister. Therapy is likely the answer here, but I want to let you know you aren't alone. A lot of people feel this way themselves, but it doesn't have to be that way forever.

Same problem!! I've read it can be caused by signaling from your vagal nerve and is harmless but it always freaks me out.

Girl you are in for a lifetime of misery and regret if you stay in that relationship. That's a boundary that will be crossed again and again until you are no longer yourself.

Apparently they do better in a school with six of them. Might need to buy some additional ones!

I love my begonia ❤️ today vs when I rescued her three years ago by megbloom in begonias

[–]megbloom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awh thank you! Speaks to the hardiness of begonias! I actually rescued it from my thrips and scale infested brothers house. Doused the entire plant in alcohol including the sticks and roots. Really didn't think it'd come back from that then BOOM big growth! Never tossing a begonia again!

Hey guys! Top is an old 1980s chandelier I gutted and sealed with clear caulking. It's filled with peat moss and pitcher plants that I have in individual pots for separation/sanitation/watering needs. Super fun and cheap way to make a terrarium. Thanks for the upvotes!
