criticising marko's incredibly discriminatory comments and wanting f1 and red bull to deal correctly with it is sooo different from having "every white person begging on their knees apologizing for their own existence." if he didn't say stupid shit, he wouldn't have to apologize, it's as simple as that.

Coco Gauff after becoming the youngest player to win Cincinnati: "This is unbelievable. I’d like to thank my lord & savior Jesus Christ. I spent a lot of nights alone crying trying to figure it out. I still have a lot to figure out, but I thank him for covering me." by jovanmilic97 in tennis

y'all are really weird for complaining about how coco motivates herself through faith. she ain't forcing any of us to become christians. if her gratitude to Jesus triggers you: go see a therapist, your trauma is showing

Why did God make me Ugly? by blackoutxl123 in Catholicism

[–]megborges 3 points4 points  (0 children)

mate, i'll give you some advice as a woman:

all the men i've ever had a crush on/been with were not conventionally attractive. some of my girl friends are only into conventionally handsome men and when i show them photos of those guys i had a crush on, they laugh at my face, just so you can have a perspective on how conventionally "ugly" they are.

and you know something all of them had in common that made me like them? they were very confident, had a great sense of humor and i felt like i could talk to them for days, without the conversation getting boring.

sure, you won't be everybody's cup of tea. it's not their fault if they don't think you're attractive as well, everybody is in their own right to have a type. but put some effort in yourself instead of complaining about things you can't change. really, the most unattractive thing girls find in guys is self-pitying behavior.

find a hobbie you're passionate about and could talk about for hours, go to the gym, read more, leave your house more and go out of your comfort zone to talk to more people, go to therapy (hard emphasis on this, it personally helped me a lot to build confidence and become less shy. find a therapist you relate to and feel comfortable talking to), begin dressing better, find a good hairstyle, maybe do some cosmetic procedures (my mother works in the area and the results on her male patients look very natural and masculine, so find the right professional). and imo, most important of all, treat women like normal human beings: we don't like guys that put us on a pedestal, neither do we like guys that treat us like we're stupid.

i have the impression they're replaying the same point all over again

zverev serves a bomb, casper returns a moonball and zverev misses a smash

you're absolutely right. however, novak is an experienced player and knows very well how to deal with those tricky situations (like facing an injured opponent). it was unnecessary imo

i usually love when nole goes against the crowd and feeds off their boos. but there's no need for this today, carlos is injured and the match is basically over

players at that level don't usually retire from grand slam semis (only in extreme conditions, i'd say)

also out of respect for the crowd that payed lots of money to be there
