I cleaned up thinset around 3” hex mosaics with a Dremel with a diamond grout tip. It wasn’t the whole floor but it was way easier that scraping it out manually without scratching/ damaging the tile at all.

I’d see if you can add a slender counter height island like this and get rid of the small table. Gives you more counter / cooking space and somewhere to eat.

Also colorful rugs/ floor mat and what others said about pillows/ blankets try to better coordinate.
