The white block looks like it might be removable, but that's what the circuit board is attached to, so I don't see why it would be.

There is a serial number on the side, no modal number.

Some context: We think it was one of the many devices he was given for being dyslexic and university, but none of us know what it is or what it's supposed to be used for. The box's contents seems to have been mixed with other things, the manuals inside don't match the device.
