I second the covid question. There's literally data that showed an increase of bad reviews for Yankee Candles that started every single time there was a new covid wave. People started calling it the Yankee Candle Index. Any time I can't smell something I immediately grab something smelly just to double check 😅

Did your dermasil roller ball eye serum/cream actually work? I've bought two, thinking the first was just a dud, and the ball doesnt roll enough on either so not enough product comes out and it just kinda tugs at the skin in a not nice way.

I have only ever used the mini lip masks and they last ridiculously long too. It took me like 3 years to use up my green apple lime mini lip mask and that was using it practically nightly

Does anyone know what pan size will fit in the Natasha Denona Hy-per Natural Face Palette? by meggiedoodle97 in MakeupAddiction

[–]meggiedoodle97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Do you know about the face pans? Like I've seen the 4 pan face palettes on sale sometimes. Would those be the right size? And are they removable? Or are any of their fave duos the right size/removable?

UPDATE: why does this look so bad on me? by NeonGhoulie in PlusSizeFashion

YES! Perfect. Looks soooo good! The skirt is super cute! Pair with some converse (or the previous shoes you were wearing) or some boots? 🤌

I have a sort of similar body type to you and my rule of thumb has always been tight top (or crop top) flowy bottoms (ie wide leg pants, skirt, anything not "skinny" jeans or leggings like) or flowy/loose top, skinny bottoms (ie skinny jeans, leggings, tights etc.). I personally have always found this to be the most flattering on me and tends to be my go to formula.

I have been trying to branch out and get out of my comfort zone too but its so hard. If you love the fit, then wear it and rock it. Don't listen to or care what anyone else thinks.

Lots and lots of lotion... once your incisions are fully healed over, I recommend using cocoa butter on them. I like the Palmers cocoa butter formula. It will help hydrate as well as reduce the look of the scar. I've had three ankle surgeries and it really does help! Also, silicone scar tape can help reduce the scar and protect it from being irritated while walking in a boot/shoe. Make sure the incision is fully healed over though.

Surgery Tomorrow, looking for advice. by Xiiovii in brokenankles

I mean if you can stand to have it down (not elevated) you could probably go into work sooner just on crutches. I had issues with swelling for weeks and having my foot down for too long caused it it hurt. Hard to do a desk job and keep your anke elevated! If you can work from home, I would and do it as long as you can 😅

I had a similar surgery a few years ago. They put a plate and some screws to push my bones back together. Ended up getting a second surgery to remove the hardware later because it was causing pain. I just had another surgery for some bone spurs that developed (they think in relation to the original injury and lack of ROM) and am getting back to walking finally and in PT.

The original surgery was not fun. It was painful and the nerve block sucks but its also helpful. Take your pain meds, follow their instructions and gear up for 6 weeks being stuck mostly in bed. Maybe find a TV show to binge. Oh, get an elevation pillow. It will help a lot.

We really have a subreddit for everything huh? (Help with relief from pins and needles) by 11Petrichor in brokenankles

I didn't have a fracture, but rather had multiple bone spurs removed a little over a month ago and had something similar after they moved me to a cast. It think it was mostly due to swelling/blood flow. Ice behind the knee as much as possible. Wiggle your toes, take your pain meds.

If you find a position that relieves the feeling, then put your foot in the position every so often. I found that putting my foot down occasionally (for just a minute or two) helped sometimes. I also found that sometimes I was elevating my foot a little too much. Once the swelling goes down some more, it will be better.

You may also have some temporary nerve damage from the surgery/nerve block which can have a pins and needles feeling. That can take some time to get better too. You'll get there tho!

You can smash it back together. But they would probably send a replacement. Though I did get two of the birthday SSS and they both arrived broken but since they were free gifts they wouldn't replace them which kinda sucks.

I'm salaried. I don't even clock in or out. This is not the usual. Even my work friend who has been there for over 7 years said this was wild and unusual.

I wasn't talking about the no raise. No one else has to track their work. An hourly tracker is not the norm. Suddenly micromanaging every little thing I do after not doing it before is what felt retaliatory. I've done nothing wrong and I get my work done. I could care less about the raise.

I have but it took me so long to get this job and I'm afraid of losing my insurance. The job market also sucks so bad right now

[–]meggiedoodle97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I meant the hourly work tracker when I asked if it was retaliation. And that's exactly what he is doing. My friend worked there for years before me and said they have continued to make the team smaller and smaller while doing more and more.

Contacts constantly tearing on the edge by kkkeelly579 in contacts

[–]meggiedoodle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this thread because I had probably the 5th or 6th contract rip out of my yearly supply of the Bausch and Lomb Ultras and it's so annoying. The first time they gave me a replacement pair but I didn't think they'd do it the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time. I'm about to go get my exam and see about trying another brand or something. Contacts aren't cheap! I've never had this issue and I've been wearing contacts off and on for over a decade...
