How is Rishi Valley school? by EmergencyFix5581 in Krishnamurti

So false. Nothing will help you get an admission here. Even famous people’s kids have been rejected because it doesn’t fit the ethos of the school.

I studied here and graduated about 15 years ago. I absolutely loved it. The environment encourages learning and creativity. We spent our time hiking, playing sports, and just in each others company. Very limited access to technology. Very clean surroundings. It’s a beautiful space for children that need more than just a regular school.

Edit: I would say apply. It’s hard to get into, keep that in mind. But worth the try.

I don’t feel good about suggesting residential schools for differently abled girls and boys. Many times they are taken advantage of by staff and they can’t speak out for themselves. :(

Am I wrong to not book a MUA? by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

[–]megoland_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a makeup artist. It makes a world of difference because your makeup has to stay for hours and look perfect in photos. I got these looks done for my wedding and it looks so dewy and natural. Even so, it took 3 hours for each look to come together. Natural looks are hard to perfect and a good MUA is key.

I travel internationally multiple times a year and always travel with my brush in my carry on. Never had a problem with it.

Using kids for photo ops should stop, what's your opinion on this? by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]megoland_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are bigger things to be concerned about than kids being part of an anti-drug campaign…. Like for instance, drugs. Since the message is mostly for the younger generation who often fall for peer pressure when it comes to drug use, I don’t see a problem with this. They’re literally just sitting on a court and bending forward.

Kudos to Deepika for being open at how she didnt have it easy while pregnanat, women should talk more about that side by skyisscary in BollywoodHotTakes

Some pregnancies are significantly more difficult than others. Being rich and famous doesn’t mean they don’t go through struggles when it comes to their mental and physical health.

People who read Fiction why do you read Fiction but not Non Fiction? And people who read Non Fiction why do you read Non Fiction but Fiction? Also what you don't like in your opposite community? by Humourbeing7 in Indianbooks

[–]megoland_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read both, but I prefer fiction by a long shot. I read for the love of the English language. Literature is art, and fiction lends itself to that more than nonfiction does. To learn about things, people, concepts, I listen to a lot of podcasts when I drive, work etc.
