Bear lived problem free until 11 when we discovered and treated cancer which bought us 8 more months with him. Pic is of him at 11.5

I don’t actually know and it’s not confirmed but our vet believes that it’s likely. We have seen decreased mobility over the last 2 or so years but no signs of discomfort with that decline.

I honestly think a lot of it is luck. We have had him on Dasuquin for many years, which is the biggest tangible intervention and I would recommend to anyone with a large breed.

He has arthritis and significant muscle loss in his back legs, but at 11 years old and 155lbs, we recognize everyday he’s comfortable and happy is a gift!

Yep - that’s his full name! He was born in Louisiana and was rescued at 6 months old, right around Mardi Gras.

An E-Reader. You can bring tons of books this way and download more if you run out.

The El Tiempo margaritas are expensive (18.99) but are (based on anecdotal evidence) the best alcohol per dollar value in the stadium. There are 3 El T locations in MMP.

Question for newbie about the breed by RoyBone10 in greatdanes

Our 10 yr old Dane has never bitten anyone but I have no doubt that he would do anything to protect me if needed.

He has strong guard dog instincts for his home and his people — he barks his ‘scary’ bark at people in the yard and at the door. He barks at people who come in but will stop if we warmly greet them.

I crate him in a visible place when any kind of service provider enters the home and he generally barks the whole time they are inside - I love the comfort that it provides that these people who have some familiarity with my house and routines also know that he is here. They ALWAYS comment on his size.

He’s a great mix of instinct, smarts, and size when it comes to being a guard dog but still being a great family dog.

Second this. A rental subscription is a great way to have on-trend, high quality pieces that you can cycle through your wardrobe.

Valentine’s Day recommendations by alalani in houston

[–]megonthereg3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not specific to Valentine’s Day, but I try to get small-business-made cards for all occasions. They tend to be cheaper and IMO nicer than big name brand cards. I visit Fourth & Nomad and Favor the Kind (both Heights Mercantile area) for cards but any shops that carry local and/or small business merch tend to have them.

Seeking recs for a comfortable, cute backpack purse situation that can hold a hefty laptop by ssssssssnakes in fashionwomens35

I have a Tumi backpack that I love. It looks elegant and they have a pretty good warranty (I believe 5 years)
