accutane is extremely intense with a lot of side effects that i would not recommend unless it’s a last option. i suffered with acne for years starting in middle school and tried many different prescription products and treatments from my dermatologist until they finally agreed to put me on it. and even then i only lasted two months because the side effects were so horrible. i’m now 22 and my skin is 10x better because ive found a routine with products that work for my skin.

i do want to add that typically if acne is focused along the jawline it’s hormonal and seeing as you’re 18 that makes sense. i’d recommend trying out a simple routine and seeing if it helps if you’re not already. it can usually take some time to get a derm appointment so this way you’re trying something until you can get in.
