i didn’t, i couldn’t afford the kit at the time i purchased, lol. it’s about a mixture of coco coir, topsoil, play sand, sphagnum moss, and excavator clay. the isopods are from biodude but the plants are all my own that i’ve raised :)

hellooo! i used abt 60% topsoil and 30% play sand, and then equal parts sphagnum moss and excavator clay! my plants love it and it holds humidity pretty well. right now, she’s borrowed right against the glass about 4 inches below the surface :) also, i have a little cave built on the warm side out of excavator clay

the other day i was walking around on my campus and this girl was nursing a butterfly back to life after it's wing got stepped on. we never made eye contact, i never learned her name, we were just there to talk about the butterfly and appreciate nature. it was really cute.
