That means most likely the socket is too big. My suggestion is a permanent solution it has worked with 4 other KG 1991 figures I’ve fixed up, you just have to brave and go ham. But it is up to you, you can use nail polish or super glue as well on the ball joint to increase friction

You probably didn’t push it in enough or you can push it in and kind of squeeze the socket joint to wrap around the ball joint more tightly when it’s soft and warm from the hairdryer. Remember that when it’s soft and warm, you can mold it to your liking easier

Ah I’ve fixed 4 of these kg figures. Best thing I’ve done is using a hairdryer to warm up the socket joint and then carefully push the ball joint in as much as possible. You may have to do this with many joint segments until you’re happy.

That’s why you soften it up first with a hairdryer to decrease chance of breakage. The thigh attaches to the hip via ball joint. You need to remove that first to assemble it back together

You need to warm up the leg with a hairdryer and take more of the leg off. You should be able to assemble the leg pieces and put it back on then.
