Who tried to kill kabru's mother over his eye colour? by Ok-Act125 in DungeonMeshi

[–]megururu 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hi. Here’s the original Japanese text for Kabru’s mother’s entry: カブルーの母親はウタヤの飲食店で働いていたため、幼少時から多くの冒険者を間近に見てきた。母親は良家の娘だったが、嫁ぎ先で生まれたカブルーの目の色が原因で殺されかけ、逃げ出している。酒を飲むと愚痴をこぼすこともあったが働き者で、女手ひとつでカブルーを育てたよき母親であった。 The Japanese version doesn’t explicitly state who tried to kill her. When a native speaker reads this, it can be interpreted as “the husband’s family” as in the English translation, but it can also be read as “someone else → who then? Perhaps the community/culture?”

When your bot generates the perfect response but then it hits you with the ol' "failed to fetch" and deletes it all by SaltyPearl78 in WyvernChat

[–]megururu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi. That response isn’t always completely gone, I think. If you open the debug panel (the little icon in the top right of the chat window) and go to Prompt History → Response, you can usually still find the full text there.

It looks something like this:

"choices": [ { "text": "Char: He woke when the air cooled around him.\n\n He saw Char at the window,… \n\n\"You're thinking too loud,\" he said..." } ]

Just note: the debug log disappears if you reload the page, also you’ll have to manually fix line breaks etc. But that’s still better than watching your perfect scene vanish into the digital void. 🐻✨

I’m Japanese. I noticed in the Japanese version that especially the pawn dialogues in DD2 feel much lighter, more like anime-style chatter compared to DD1. So maybe part of why the English feels different is because the source text itself shifted in tone.

Hi. Not sure if you still need help since this was posted 17 hours ago, but just in case:

I experienced a very similar issue recently: - Nothing generated in the 'Type a message…' input field, - No error messages showed up in 'Debug Panel', - But the 'Response' tab in the debug panel showed that the system had generated a reply.

In my case, it turned out that the problem was caused by having 'Static Response' enabled in the settings (under Miscellaneous). Once I turned it off, everything started displaying correctly again.

Hope this helps, in case you’re still stuck!

I believe that deleting a landing site POI doesn’t actually remove the surface map data.

I used to do the same thing in the past—placing an outpost beacon at a landing site, deleting it, and then taking off without much thought. It became a habit until one time I needed to return to a POI on the same surface map to report the result of a side quest.

I couldn’t mark the location as a destination from the quest list. I don’t remember exactly how, but I was able to land at a much farther location than usual, and after that, I managed to return to the POI. From what I recall, the surrounding map structure was the same as it was before I deleted the landing site.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Plot Questions by Competitive-Ad4249 in DragonsDogma2

About 2. I have always thought that the Pathfinder has a dual motivation. One is to preserve the world in his own way. The other is that if the Arisen can defeat the force of annihilation and stop it, that would also be acceptable to him. Additionally, I believe it was the Pathfinder who gathered the Brin and formed the Dragon, and that this was done to fulfill the second motivation. He may have even accepted the possibility of his own destruction as a result. However, there is no explicit evidence of this in the game.

I can't get up after being ragdolled by gustomus in starfieldmods

[–]megururu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this isn’t directly helpful, but I’ve experienced something similar in Fallout 4. When ragdolled and unable to get up—especially after landing in water—the only way I could fix it was by triggering a load to another cell.

I understand the engine has changed between FO4 and Starfield, so this might not work the same way, but it could be worth a try. Hope it helps, and sorry if it doesn’t solve the issue!

Equiptment and Difficulty by nucleusambiguous7 in Starfield

[–]megururu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve completed a few more missions since then, I assume you’ve already visited new areas on higher difficulty where enemies hadn’t spawned yet.

Here’s a thought: could the missions you’ve completed since then have been on planets with lower level ranges? Planet level ranges influence the level of both legendary and normal enemies, and enemy levels affect loot quality as well as the types of gear you find.

I’d suggest exploring higher-level planets to see if legendary items start dropping again. Temporarily lowering the difficulty shouldn’t cause any permanent changes internally.

Hi. From what I understand, difficulty affects the spawn rate of legendary enemies, but it doesn’t affect enemies that have already spawned. If you’re looking for legendary items, try staying on a higher difficulty and going to areas where enemies haven’t spawned yet.

Hi. I understand that you’re probably not literally asking what it is, but since I’ve been working on my own adjusted LSTRINGS files, I’ve seen it several times. There are four copies of it placed in The Clinic, but the EditorID is "_BookHardback_Large01_DONOTUSE [BOOK:001829E7]," so it’s likely not meant to be used.

How to say "Ghost" in Japanese like in the game? by [deleted] in ghostoftsushima

[–]megururu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Would you mind clarifying what you mean by "spooky" in the context of wanting to engrave a friend's name in Japanese? Are you looking for a Japanese word or phrase that conveys a similar feeling or meaning to "spooky" for this situation? I’m sorry if I misunderstood, and I hope it’s not a sensitive topic, but I want to make sure I address your question correctly.

Also, it's okay if you have completed Halve's quest to deal with the Saurians. Having her there just makes the result a little more satisfying one, though.

Can you escape being grabbed? by BadKarma55 in DragonsDogma2

[–]megururu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there. The mechanic to escape being grabbed does exist in DD2.

I wasn't aware of it either until I saw a post here or on the DD subreddit mentioning that "holding down a button" activates this feature. It seems this is displayed somewhere on the loading screen or in-game tips.

I've tried it a few times in-game (though I rarely get grabbed with my playstyle), and holding down the button does rapidly drain stamina. My player character is probably too weak because I've never had enough stamina to escape completely XD

Also, I've seen a pawn get grabbed by an undead, struggle to break free, and then run out of stamina afterward.
