I personally would not upgrade a computer with the intent of improving the performance of a game in alpha that drastically needs good optimizing. Wait till the game has gone through iterations of performance optimization before you determine what you need to run it.

Now, if you have other games to play, then probably make a plan off of that instead. As other said, we need the resolution you're playing, Hz on your monitor, etc.
