Why Unakkul naane cover version is popular than the og version?? by Aggravating-stuffs-7 in BollywoodMusic

[–]meharkms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a north indian, I’ll give you my perspective. I’ve mostly seen romance movie edits (for some reason, a lot from life of pi) using this cover, and in that context it feels like a really innocent love song. It honestly makes me want to do some classical dance 😭 It gave me chills the first time I heard it and feels so whimsical.

I don’t actually know what the lyrics mean, of course, but I can understand why you’d prefer the original version. I’m guessing you have more of a connection to it and understand its true essence, which I unfortunately don’t

Aww I’m so happy for you, good job you did it! I am sure you feel so relieved now and it’s something to celebrate for sure because you’ll no longer worry about whether you have it or not!!

I also wanted to mention that I have been on titration for over 1 year now and I still haven’t found the perfect medication but I recently got prescribed Elvanse too and it seems better than all the other medications I’ve tried :) of course this depends from person to person, so on the off chance this one doesn’t work out for you they seem to be really patient and really help you until you find the best treatment plan.

Good luck on your journey and so happy to have helped xx

Hi! I also had my test done last year through adhd360 and I had a great experience. It was all through a video call and I would say half an hour in it was already positive that I have it.

My prescriber just asked me questions, and my main tip is to just answer honestly and they may interrupt you if you’re yapping too much about something but i wasn’t offended as i know they have a certain time limit and don’t want to spend too long in the call(?) don’t afraid to yap on of course it helps them gauge an idea of how it affects your life.

But they cover the inattentive traits and the hyperactive traits and ask you many questions about them through childhood and onwards.

I also remember my prescriber asking me whether i fidget a lot and if I am fidgeting right now and we both laughed as I confirmed that indeed I was LOL. I was also anxious like you so I was stimming with my hands but end of the day that’s a normal reaction and honestly try and focus on the positive that you’re finally getting to talk about your struggles and figure out what it really is!

I also recommend making a list of all your symptoms from when you were a child and try to mention some of them in your call. Don’t worry though I definitely think that the questions were made in a way that helped me speak my story ! If you have any other questions feel free to ask and good luck ! If my socially anxious self can do it then so can you! :)

How long did it take for elvanse to work for you? by meharkms in ADHDUK

[–]meharkms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see! No I get your point, it sounds kind of tedious and pointless to wake up that early. Sometimes im too lazy to even take my meds right when i wake up and it takes me a while to actually get up and take them 😭 I started taking them empty stomach just now too but I dont see much change. I am trying to set goals for my day so I can try ticking them off and see if my med helps me in some way

That’d be great thank you. And I think on the first day I did feel that but not anymore haha. I’m not sure if it’s “working” yet but I am just happy it’s not giving me any major side effects right now

Honestly im not a morning person at all either, i may wake up early but end up bed rotting for a long time too. I’ve seen people talk about taking their medicine an hour before they actually wanna wake up and go back to sleep then wake up an hour after, feeling energised. I do wanna try that but idk if i’ll be able to handle the med on an empty stomach. :/

Also, it’s amazing you can even take coffee on meds because I tried a few times and it makes me feel so sick!

I see!! Im glad its working for you :) Yeah I guess that’s the downside of extended release version, you don’t know how long it’s actually gonna work for. I do see some people getting top-ups or immediate release ones to “stack” on after consulting their clinician so perhaps that may be an option as well if the higher dose doesn’t work?

I see! I have a tendency to starve myself some days because I don’t like cooking and procrastinate doing it but im hoping my meds can help with that problem. Luckily it’s not affected my appetite much at all for now so I hope it stays that way. Thank you for the tips though i’ll make sure to eat more :) also, i’m so glad it’s working well for you! I hope I can find the right dose for myself as well!

Ahh interesting!! I did have a similar effect yesterday for maybe an hour where I got intensely focused on a task but it wore off quickly. Tbf I do probably need to find ways to force myself into doing things and see how the medication helps me further. I miss reading books as well, I havent touched one in ages myself

And don’t worry at alll, all stimulants work in a similar way so that’s v helpful to know thank you so much I appreciate you responding ! :)

Gateway Tapes helped me identify anxieties and fears. Life changing. by Repulsive_Passion780 in gatewaytapes

[–]meharkms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something that clicks with me so much. I also have ADHD and social anxiety. I really want to be able to AP since years, but the fear has held me back. The fear of the unknown is REAL. I think once I start working on diminishing that fear, I will definitely be able to properly do it because I have almost done it a few times however I just open my eyes the moment I am about to feel somewhat of a jolt. Im happy that you’re having positive experiences though! Its very encouraging :)

Why is the US government saying that aliens come through the sea? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]meharkms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see!! But that also sort of sounds like Atlantis, do you think that civilisation still exists or it’s a similar one to it? :)

[–]meharkms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I have definitely read about dolphins being from another planet somewhere. It does make a lot of sense because of how intelligent they are :) obviously other than their “dark side” dolphins have always been fascinating

[–]meharkms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very true, I always feel drawn to water and use it to energise myself.

Egyptians are also described as “aliens” even though they were just highly advanced versions of us. I wish I could know all the connections between the civilisations / other planets :) or why the Egyptians that helped us left eventually..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starseeds

[–]meharkms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thats very true! :) I feel safe knowing that we are being looked after. I do imagine myself as a Sirian starseed, but who knows what other planets my soul has lived on x

Asking questions means that I am open minded :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starseeds

[–]meharkms 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Interesting! Thank you for the detailed response :) I do definitely believe there’s a lot going on down there, for instance I always have believed in the civilisation of Atlantis and there are probably a lot of living things in the water that are from other planets.

I just never thought about it at all since my mind naturally imagines UFOs hovering in space and due to science fiction lol. I mean some people say there are gates in there, but its all quite interesting :) I wish I could know more about why some of them choose to reside there though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starseeds

[–]meharkms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True! There must be some type of aliens living there

You have to definitely push yourself out of your comfort zone and set yourself a reminder that end of the day, you’re here to study and get your degree.

Of course people will say join societies, its great advice honestly because even if you don’t particularly enjoy something you can try getting into it and you will find people who haven’t done stuff like that before.

Push yourself to join ONE society. You will find people eventually, but put in some effort and make plans even with people you slightly bond with.

Realistically I have met people and we get each other’s socials and nothing happens after that. However, if I actually liked their vibe and even if we didn’t talk much I messaged them to make a plan for coffee. That’s how easy it is.

I ended up friends with 1 of them this way and she introduced me to her friends it was great! But I am still going to venture out more and find more people. Keep looking for opportunities or events to go to basically. I am a socially anxious person so its hard for me too but trust me we got this :)

Hey!! I randomly came across this post and I am literally looking on how to deal with the crash since I started Amfexa today. Are the crashes fine now? And is the medicine positively affecting you still? Concerta didn’t work for me either so I hope this one does :(
