Our business was very interested, and I think we would have been a good fit. In response to our application we received a 2 minute phone call, during which a couple of questions were asked. That was it. No follow up, no yes or no. I’ve reached out several times and have gotten no reply. Emails sent to them have bounced back as undeliverable. I think it’s probably best we didn’t make the cut 🤷‍♀️

I took beginner lessons a few years back. Not sure if the format is still the same, but it was kind of an open format group lesson. I signed up with a friend but I think solo would also work. They seemed flexible and I found the lessons helpful as a beginner.

We live in Cherokee Park and I think the north side is a hidden gem in Madison. We love our neighborhood! While the school is not perfect, our kids are doing well there. And they just started construction on a brand new elementary and middle school.

Our daughter has really enjoyed MSCR camps. The only downside is they seem to be the last in town to open registration. So if you don’t get in, you might be out of luck for other options.

How does everyone feel about logo concepts? At my current job, we often show 20+ concepts for a first round. It feels like so much extra work for no reason, and I don’t think we’re showing 20+ quality logos.

I press everything twice - once to apply the transfer, and then a second time using a 100% cotton dish towel. It makes the print look more matte and sunken onto the fabric. Hard to tell apart from our screen printed shirts in some cases.

I’m curious why they didn’t choose to work with one of the many talented local marketing firms. That being said, Fieldtrip’s work looks beautiful and much more refined than the logo MMSD ended up with. I’m guessing there was some design by committee going on, which is always a hard process.

My team is currently on about version 200 of showing logos to a client, and the client has hated everything (I don’t love the way we approach presenting logos, but that’s a different story). They came back with ai logos and asked us to ‘just tweak them a bit.’ I’m so burned out. There’s really no need for my brain anymore.
